I think these are the Calgary Winter Olympic Glasses you could buy at Petro Canada at the time?
Could be pieces of various vintage American Erector™ sets. The original British Meccano™ the Americans copied had a red and green colour scheme once they went to paint. But it may just be the colour balance in the photo is skewed a bit.

this must be the precursor to the Mattel Electronic Quarterback that I had in the late 1970s..this looks similar but the EQB had a bigger screen
