Anyone else addicted to slots/gambling? What's the most you've lost? I feel depressed, since I could have seen ten ladies with the money I blew.
Not me but my father gambles on horse racing. Done it his whole life and I've seen many a night he come home with the "I fucked up face" on.

Then I had a friend that maxed out his credit cards playing slots at woodbine. His parents had to bail him out of the debt but they eventually straightened him out.

My advice is to completely stop or seek help because I am a firm believer Gamblers don't change. My father told me never gamble but he does it every other weekend.

When it comes to handling your money, this should be your motto:

Casino gambling, no(n)
Stock market investing, yes (y)

You can beat the casino house short-term, but you cannot beat the house long-term. Impossible!!

My friend has Parkinson diseases. He got a dopamin agonist medication Pramipexole. Unfortunately this medication has an unwanted side effects and make him a pathological gambler. Very strange but your brain couldn't make enough dopamin for you, that's why you have Parkinson, but the same brain could make more than enough Dopamin when you start gambling. No doctor told this side effect, but he figured out after he lost everything. Too late now but it happen many times if you take dopamin agonist medication. Be careful!

I can’t play slots. Or really even go into casinos. The noise and the lights give me a migraine headache every time so I just don’t go anymore.

it is hard when money is gone and you feel you have nothing to show for it. Sorry sweetie.

I also heard if you start winning too much at poker or blackjack tables, casinos will start banning you.
This apparently happened to Dana White. He was winning too much.
So whats the point in even gambling then, if you cant beat the casinos long-term??

Gambling addiction is a disease. One of my wives was addicted to slot gambling. Horrible. I never gamble.

I got a free $25 last time I stayed at a Niagara hotel, so I sat down at a 5 cent poker machine and walked away with $ 28.50.

I've tried some gambling before. I would typically make my 50 dollar donation and then leave. On good days, that 50 dollars would last an hour on the roulette table. On bad days, it would be gone in minutes.
And I can't think fast enough to play blackjack. I end up pissing off the other people at the table.
I realized that I'd rather spend that money somewhere else... a good meal, a good massage,... anything but at a casino.

When it's your hard-earned money, you really think about how you should spend it.

Casinos bore me to tears but I do wager on sports....just not enough that I go into a red ink streak.

Poker can be highly addictive, I only play at a charity event annually...btw have you meet Ceiling Cat's bookie?

im not so sure that you would be banned for winning at poker........if you are a winning player you are taking $ from other players....the casino takes a rake from each hand so it doesnt care who wins or loses

What makes it worse is that I have a side hustle, delivering groceries for Instacart. It's very hard work, and I average only $15 an hour, before expenses. In the last two years, I made $15,000, working about 1,000 hours. Most of that ($10,000) was wiped out in less than six hours of slot play.

There are help available if you want counseling for a gambling addiction.

I never play slots. Its a suckers game.
The only casino games I play are poker or blackjack. And of course sports betting.

Go to a casino and put $20,000 on black in roulette.
1 of two things will happen, you walk away with $40,000, make up the 10k you lost and then some or now you really have something to be depressed over
Or lose everything it can land on green 0 and 00 are also on the wheel.

Goddamnit man. Instacart? Are you losing money using your own vehicle?

Probably not, but only because I choose jobs with relatively high tips. Otherwise it wouldn’t be worth it. Also, why I don’t do Uber eats or DoorDash: the gas and wear and tear on the car wouldn’t make it worth it.

So if you like none of the advice offered..... Play Low Limit Slots. :)

Not sure? Absolutely you do not get banned for winning at poker unless you are cheating.
Same can be said for black jack. Banned only for cheating or counting cards.
Casino does not ban anyone for being lucky.
