I don't know why you Phaneuf fans say it's not his fault when Phaneuf himself admitted he cost his team the game.
I'm not calling anyone out.. both games in Toronto could have went either way if you ask me. As it stands, it obviously didn't.
I suppose my main point is that the Leafs haven't been poor this series given their recent history with Boston. They've definitely bridged the gap.

I never praised Kadri. He is skilled but streaky like Grabovski.
Either way there are 2 players that are standing out right now offensively for the leafs. Those players are Lupul and Grabovski ( although Grabovski has nothing to show for it). This is Toronto, we can tolerate and even love a loser. We can't love a team or player with no heart. Phaneuf has no heart. He gives up and makes the easy play, not the smart play. Everytime he has the puck I cringe knowing he's gonna cost us a possession or goal.

I would like to blame Phanuef for the OT blunder, but it happened. The D man played it pretty well, taking the pass away and Kessel was back in a decent enough position top influence any shot attempt.
Reimer was off the post cheating, thinking pass, giving that whole side for a shot. What was he thinking?
He should have anchored himself to the near post.

He knew the odds, the longer the game went the greater the Bruins chances of scoring. It blew up in his face, but he had to take the risk.
It will be a miracle if the Leafs win Game 5. There's no replacing a draughthorse like Fraser. They're going to have a very difficult time stopping the Bruins from driving to the net.

The Leafs have an uphill battle. First, the Bruins are no pushovers. Second, the curse of Harvey "Busher" Jackson is alive and well (Busher played his last 3 seasons with the Bruins). Third, Gary "Little Napoleon" Bettman wants only American teams to win the Cup. Everything favours the Bruins but one never knows.

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Conn Smythe blacklist Busher from the NHL for attempting to start up the NHLPA? Whatever the reason Busher was reduced to begging in front of Maple Leafs Gardens.

I think it was Ted Lindsay who tried to start the NHLPA but Gordie Howe wouldn't go along.
When Busher was an active player, he was actually one of Conn's favourites, but Conn disapproved of his lifestyle. In retirement, Conn denied Busher entry to the HOF until 5 years after his death.
Unless provoked, I rarely dump on a fellow TERBIE but Blackrock is just a jerk who talks trash and occasionally he is joined by that other loser.
One more period to go. This is the way hockey is meant to be played. Reimer playing great. Kessel came back at least twice to break up a Bruin rush. Bozak hustles and scores. The officiating has been even handed.
REIMER was awesome!! Great effort tonight from everyone. Win or lose this series, we finally have a hockey team we can be proud of!
Almost perfect game, the shut out would have been nice, the last 7;00 minutes drove me crazy.
