Phaneuf can't be doing that in OT - unbelievable.

Series could easily be 3-1 Toronto but sloppy play continues to hinder them. Maybe next year (this team is not beating Boston 3 straight and twice in Boston)
If Phaneuf is not traded next season, he won't be resigned after is contract is up. Unless he scores OT winners in games 5, 6 and 7. Lupul is the next Leafs captain.

Fuck the Leafs.. and fuck their goalie for leaving his 5 hole uncovered during that last play. He should've blocked that weak shot.

The leafs are done. No way they're winning 3 straight.

Kadri looks like he's out of shape. He has no gas going. He only played good in game 2. All the other games, nowhere.

As what everyone says, Phaneuf always looks tired on his shift. He should come off the ice if he's tired. Bonehead plays. He could be the dumbest Leaf captain we ever had. I agree, don't resign him

I agree with big_E, the Leafs could be up 3-1. The only bad game they played was game 1. If the Leafs had not hit 5 goal posts, Rask has been lucky, they would be up 3 -1 or at least be tied 2-2, Frattin hit the post in OT. What if the Leafs got the right bounces, this would be different series. The Leafs played their best game all year in game 4, the Leafs were flying in the third and in OT, except for 1 bad play by Dion. The hockey gods are cruel.

The game was a crazy, possibly going either way until the final goal. I was a mess through the eovertime The Phaneufs miss was not 'why' the Leafs lost, contrary to the haters. There were a number of events that were seminal, the goal posts for example. Didn't the Bruins score onthe power play? What if the penalty wasn't called/commited? Seldom does one event lead to a loss in a 60 minute game. Certainly not last night.

A heartbreaker for Leaf fans. A goal post away from the series being 2-2.
Leafs played very well in my opinion.

I know the Phaneuf phans will be all over this one, but he was not to blame.

It was the second period let down again. In back to back games the Leafs have been scored on three times in the second.
The Leafs are learning what it takes to win in the playoffs.

I think Reimer was great, although he tried to cheat toward the middle in case of a pass on the OT goal.

Looks to me like Kadri is getting tired. The season is taking it's toll.

Nice game from Frattin, and what the heck is Gardiner doing ? I love it. He was everywhere, doing everything for a couple shifts, and wow can he handle the puck. Thank you Ducks.

Phaneuf's mistake is EXACTLY why the Leafs lost. This is overtime hockey. The previous 60 minutes are done and don't matter, next goal wins. Besides that mistake he flinches away from shots and rarely plays hard. Look at Lupul or Grabovski that is how all of those guys should play. Instead Dion just makes weak and stupid plays the whole game. Management should give Lupul the Captain's crest and ship out Phaneuf for a real D man.

Yeah he sort of is to blame. Just about all teams have had a bad period in most of their games this post season. Bad periods happen.

So do brain cramps. BUT, it was a little too early in an OVERTIME with the season on the line to get selfish and overagressive. On the whole, Phaneuf is finally improving from the perspective of letting the game come to him more and chasing it less, but last night was an untimely moment for a little relapse.
Looks to me like Kadri is getting tired. The season is taking it's toll.
Man I sure hope you're wrong. The guy is young and in a normal year we'd only be 50 games into "the season"!
I rather hope it's just inexperience with kadri and the team in general. relatively few Leafs have recent NHL playoff experience and some have none.

Series couldn't be 3-1 leafs but it could be 2-2. They only really sucked in Game 1. Then again, the only game they won was with a little help from boston not playing too well.

Overall it's been an acceptable effort for a learning experience.

bad pinch by deon, but I would,nt put the whole blame on him. they were up 2-0, had a 5 on 3, for just under 2 mins, nobody has mentioned that yet. and as far as lupul goes, he dives last nite like a beached salmon, jvr too, both were called penalties, absolute rubbish. both these guys are big strong men, should be ashamed to play like that. and one more thing.... where has your boy KADRI gone?

Ok, no more picking on Kadri. The leafs will have to run the goalie next game. Win or lose, the Leafs are giving 100% but the difference is Chara and Krajic(sp). Dion is simply too slow to pinch, especially when the Krajic line is on the ice.
