I know the Phaneuf phans will be all over this one, but he was not to blame.
It was the second period let down again. In back to back games the Leafs have been scored on three times in the second.
The Leafs are learning what it takes to win in the playoffs.
.
Yeah he sort of is to blame. Just about all teams have had a bad period in most of their games this post season. Bad periods happen.
So do brain cramps. BUT, it was a little too early in an OVERTIME with the season on the line to get selfish and overagressive. On the whole, Phaneuf is finally improving from the perspective of letting the game come to him more and chasing it less, but last night was an untimely moment for a little relapse.
Looks to me like Kadri is getting tired. The season is taking it's toll.
Man I sure hope you're wrong. The guy is young and in a
normal year we'd only be 50 games into "the season"!
I rather hope it's just inexperience with kadri and the team in general. relatively few Leafs have recent NHL playoff experience and some have none.
Series couldn't be 3-1 leafs but it could be 2-2. They only really sucked in Game 1. Then again, the only game they won was with a little help from boston not playing too well.
Overall it's been an acceptable effort for a learning experience.
