According to Sportsnet Nylander is only the third player in Maple Leafs history to have 3 consecutive 80 point seasons. The other 2 are Sittler and McDonald.. I found that surprising.

Nylander this season has 82 pts. Matthews has 78 and Marner 73 and both will hit 80 in a week or two so come back next week and it'll be 5 players but he is the first to do it before Matthews and Marner.

The most obvious one is Sundin who was consistently a point a game player so plenty of 70's point seasons.
His final season as a Leaf 78 pts in 74 games so good right to the end. Tavares over-hyped.
Gilmour two great 100 pt seasons sandwiched between shortened seasons. Vaive missed it with one 79 pt season.

Bush is back %75 salary retained.

Ducks get 3rd round pick (to retain %50 salary)
Canes get 6th round pick.(to take on %25 salary)

He'll be the primary PK on the right side. He has more blocked shots than any Leaf this season.
He'll also be the right shot D partner for Rielly. Leaving Brodie to play on the left side where he is much better.
Leafs still have their 1st if they want to trade

The names missing from the list that surprised me the most were Vaive and Gilmour. Vaive was a very good offensive player who played in an era where offense was off the charts. 80 points in that era was less remarkable than it was in Sundin's era with the Leafs. Gilmour surprised me because I thought even in a bad year he would have 80 points.

Matthews is 13 goals back of Keon.

Marner is 1 assist back of Kaberle.

Nylander is 8 pts back of Kaberle

Rielly is 1 pt back of Tim Horton

Matthews and Marner could pass Sundin in all-time career Leaf points. They could be the first 2 Leafs to have 1000+ pts.

Sundin didn't surprise you? He played the most seasons as a Leaf and he's in the Hall of Fame.

Sundin didn't surprise me because the era he played in with the Leafs was low scoring for the whole league. If he played in the early to mid 1980's he would have cleaned up.

You really think Sundin would've racked up the points playing for the Maple Leafs of the 1980s.

Reaves-Rempe tilt best one of this Leafs era, the best in the past 30 years in Leafs history.
