There’s a bit of talk still circulating about a Marcus Stroman deal. I thought it was just some bozos on YouTube but even Jeff Blair is talking about it. Apparently a lot of people in the city want to see Marcus Stroman come back. I think a lot of it will depend on Manoqh…. Right now I am not feeling him. This guy is a liability.

I would love to see a deal for Teoscar to come back. I would love to see him in a Jays uniform right about now.

Prepare to give up some serious prospects though

Lol I don’t think we have much left.

The momentum in bringing Teoscar back would be fantastic. Shouldn’t cost them too much. He’s only got 15 home runs. I’m probably just dreaming over here…. but hey who knows Seattle is 5.5 games out of a wildcard. Lots of teams to jump over for them. Maybe they are sellers.

Orioles are now tied for first place with Tampa.
And last place Yankees are 3 games over .500

This whole AL East division is insane

The Jays may sign Teoscar for next year. He's in the last year of his contract, which is one of the primary reasons they traded him (and his poor defensive), but next year he would make a great DH. Lord knows The Jays need a clean-up hitter.

Last season I said to a friend they should bring The Stroshow back. Didn't happen and Stripling was strong. Stroman is having an awesome year, but I highly doubt he'll be coming back to The Jays. Baltimore (bad for The Jays) maybe, but not The Jays.

I don’t know I guess I’m alone in thinking Teoscar's defence wasn’t that bad. I mean five years ago is a different story, last year not so much.. I don’t really care about stats. I care about my eye, and how I feel and he didn’t bother me. When they traded him away, I knew this team would now be suffering with thousands of runners in scoring position. Ross Atkins over plays his hand, and he made a few goofs in the off-season. In hindsight trading for invisible Varsho was one of them. And I still say he mishandled Hernandez, and probably could’ve extended him if he did it properly.

A few people are talking about Stroman and I mean like two different podcasts on YouTube… and now even Jeff Blair. I think before that happens however, they’re going to see what they have in Ryu and what is possibly left in Manoah and unfortunately, I don’t think it’s much this season.

Teoscar can be exciting at bat, but a liability in the field, no different than Gurriel in left. The Jays left tons on base last year, so no different that this year. Look it up. The issue is that Schneider won't juggle his lineup. Perhaps that is because he knows the delicate personalities on the lineup, more than the rest of us (of course, he does).

I am not a stats guy. I think we overthink things and advanced analytics do not make anybody any better. However, I do know the runners left in scoring position numbers are almost the same as last year. I think it’s like 1/10th of a one run higher this year.

I am not so concerned about the statistical liability that Teoscar was. He was electric, he produced, and he was a great teammate, and they didn’t get any better by trading him. They still could’ve gone out and made the moves they did, and DH Teoscar much more. I loved his presence in the lineup, and I like this team much better with him.

anyways, what’s done is done….. now they’re talking about the possibility of them acquiring Cody Bellinger. Another off-season acquisition I wanted them to make.

While what you say makes sense there are many pitchers who carried excess weight and did very well despite it. Former Jays Roger Clemens and David Wells come to mind. Lets not forget Bartolo Colon either.
I miss Roger Clemens so much. Doesn’t give a fuck, owns the inside part of the plate on every hitter!

But he didn't produce. As you stated the following; However, I do know the runners left in scoring position numbers are almost the same as last year. I think it’s like 1/10th of a one run higher this year.

Therefore no matter if they kept him, or not, the numbers are bascically the same as last year.

Best they lost him for this year, gained Swanson and potenitally resign him as a free agent for next year and beyond.

Sure he was producing. I still like him better in the lineup, and I like what he brings out in the other hitters around him. The Jays may be scoring runs differently this year, but I still prefer his presence in the lineup. It was scarier

I still would’ve kept Hernandez rather than trade for Swanson, but that’s just me. I like the Blue Jays better with Hernandez than I do with Swanson. If the Jays can sign Hernandez in the off-season….. great. I for one would be thrilled.

Teoscar is history, he's not returning. El Gran Capitan thrilled me.

I wish that wasn’t the case. Because now trade rumours are talking about bringing in a 43 year old Nelson Cruise for his Dominican guidance to be a big brother to Vlady. When I hear that, I get truly angry because of the Hernandez deal.

There’s lots of rumours about Stroman. More than I even realized. I think if Manoah kicks the can one more time, Stroman might be a reality….

After last nights game, anyone that ever down talks my man Teoscar again can go jump in the lake. Lol. All the baloney blah blah blah statistics in defence of liabilities….. whatever!

I consider Jeff Blair to be the gold standard in Jay’s talk. And even he is talking about a trade deadline move to bring him back with Teoscar directly. For anyone that heard the interview.

please excuse my rant…

As soon as Teoscar made contact I knew it was game over and expected to hear from Philip. Whether it's Teoscar or someone else, the Jays need more run producing pop in the 4 and 5 slots in the order. As much as I like players like Varsho and Kiermaier for their defense and because they do so many small things the right way, the Jays loose too much offense when both start on a regular basis. If Varsho doesn't learn to hit high fast balls he will become nothing more than a decent fourth outfielder who comes off the bench to run or for defense.

How many teams have won a championship because of outstanding left field play?
Yeah eh?

Hahahaha. Omg how good he would look in a Jays uniform right now.4 spot between Vlady and Belt.

When High Hopes become a stick in the mud. I think he was hot for only three games this year. Varsho should watch Jim Thome videos. I see a slight similarity in the swing mechanics.

Either that or trade the bum for Stroman.

Again, just like that playoff game last year, Schneider pulls Gausman with a comfortable lead, other than that one bad inning, he was cruising, relatively low pitch count, BP again implodes.

Schneider needs to be fired!

Buck Martinez made a big deal about the pitch selection in certain situations today. He never makes a big deal about stuff like that. By big deal I mean mentioned it sternly that it was wrong.
