Yes, I follow the logic.
It is stupid and ineffective both in terms of general principle and even more so in the current US environment.

Voting out a group that you think is closer to your position for the group that is further teaches the group closer to your position that they should abandon your position since that's the winning position.
You just showed that being MORE pro genocide is what will win.
I know you don't think that, but that is the lesson that will be learned.

Of course the "and then we vote them back in 4 years when they are forced to change" means you are perfectly happy to make things worse for the people you claim to support for 4 years on the off-chance hope that you can fix it later and in THIS environment, is wildly optimistic that you have the option to vote them out 4 years later at all.

Again, short of nuking Gaza the situation there cannot get much worse. Half a million are at risk of death by starvation right now, there are deaths in hospitals but there are almost no functioning hospitals which means most of those deaths won't be counted. Another half a million are suffering from contagious diseases. Netanyahu is still saying he will attack Rafah, where 1 million refugees are living, most in tents or unsheltered.

Your view is that supporting genocide is acceptable.

My view is that is the opinion of fascists and nazis, that as citizens of a democracy we have a duty to stand up against genocide.

Politics are very personal, we all build our own models of the world in our mind and those models include how you think politics work and how you think you need to work through them. If you work from a model that says your understanding is superior to all of MAGA and 80% of dems that looks to others as more of a comment on your views of your own abilities than an objective view of politics and the situation.

Your willingness to support genocide does not make you look 'incredibly deep' to me, it just says you have no moral limits to what you will support than any MAGA supporter. It says to me that you'll back corruption/evil in some form to retain power, which is the exact criticism you use on MAGA.
