I think the Freedom Convoy may have already accomplished something…

in fairness, they probably underestimated just how many people had nothing better to do with their lives than hang around Ottawa for two weeks. Who knew so many people completely lost in life could navigate their way to the nation’s capital. Thank goodness for Waze or there’s no telling where they would have ended up.
What are you talking about? The convoy was 70km long going through Manitoba 3-4 days before they hit Ottawa. There was footage of it everywhere.

fine, they shouldn’t have underestimated that so many people had nothing better to do with their lives than hang around Ottawa for two weeks.
I stand corrected.

I will not hold it against you. Everyone was taken aback by the size and impact- completely unCanadian.

It was never that big, fake news.
OPP counted vehicles outside of Kingston and it was tiny.

Now even our conservative premiere is taking a stand against the anti vaxxer, yellow vests.

yea they were taken aback expecting 50000 trucks and 1.5 million protesters as claimed by organizers only to find it was just a souped up Santa Claus parade. No wonder they were confused.

By impact and unCanadian, you mean the people obstructing the borders?

But if you want to give the anti-science crowd credit because waves of infection pass....

Are you kidding ?
Ottawa is a great place to hang around for two weeks + however long it takes
It beats the hell out of hanging around protesting a pipeline construction site or protesting at a Rail crossing in the middle of nowhere

Nothing better to do ?
I am sure they would rather be earning a living, however the moron tells them they must do as he says in order to do so

That's being a little hard and judgmental of the Federal Liberal Party don't you think?

Good for Jacinda Ardern, as she will take no nonsense from protesters that should be thanking her for so few deaths rather than being some rowdy demonstrators. They deserved to get arrested!!

Police arrest convoy protesters at New Zealand's Parliament

Police called in more than 100 extra officers from other parts of the country. Still, police seemed prepared to wait it out as officers formed a line and ordered people to leave but only very slowly advanced on them.

By evening, police had arrested more than 120 people and charged many of them with trespassing or obstruction. Police wore protective vests but didn't don riot gear or carry guns. Some protesters were readying to hunker down for a third night.

Police said they had told everybody on the grounds they were trespassing.

You can hardly argue that you're protesting for truckers when you are now just stopping them from doing their jobs.

I hope this is true.
I still do not understand why the city or province need emergency measures to enforce the law.

The OPP would be on my sorry arse within 10 minutes, if I tried to block an onramp to the 403, no matter if I sported a silly sign demanding Trudeau get arrested.
