If I'd never been to the Louvre, I wouldn'y have had a w...what moment. The French have a guilty conscience when it comes to Leonardo. They protected him for The Inquisition only to have his tomb desecrated during The French Revolution. His remains have been lost to history. As to Dave Bautista, it was a matter of Duke's trust. I don't want to spoil it for others who may want to see the film. What do you mean? (I can see why the Mona Lisa thing would trip you, but what about Bautista?) It isn't supposed to be believable, it's an Agatha Christie-style mystery with social commentary.
The first film was so cohesive that not much suspension of disbelief was required...and it had a certain aged rapscallion taking part.
