With one day before the official release, Darren Aronovsky finally releases a trailer. Sadie Sink has true star quality.

Due to the wild success of Peacemaker, James Gunn is now the CEO of DC Productions - and he's not smelling what Rocco is cookin. Black Adam did just ok at the box-office, Gunn is not granting Rocco his demand by keeping Henry Cavill as Superman. The British actor is done with The Man of Steel.

Contrary to what some suggest, Robert Oppenheimer is not German. He was born in NYC, he spent most of his pre Los Alamos life as a theoretical physicist at the University of California.

Christopher Nolan needs a bounceback, Tenet was disjointed and disappointing, Cillian Murphy is Robert Oppenheimer.

In 1964 Peter Sellers was robbed of the best Actor Oscar for Dr Strangelove, does anyone know who actually won?

Lookin at that list of 10 worst movies, I'm amazed I didn't even hear that they remade Firestarter.

What the fuck is The Bubble? God that looks horrible.

I agree Amsterdam was not very good.

Not surprised to see Morbius there.

Wow, The King's Daughter was in development hell for 7 years?

Why I have never heard of this 365 days franchise?

As good as Fiennes and Ajoy are, Nicholas Hoult and John Leguziamo are outstanding. Hoult goes full MAGA twit while Leguziamo is a faded TV star. Hoult was stuck in YA hell until he did this:

The Taliban have taken away all civil rights for females. They are not allowed an education beyond a 5th grade level, must be completely covered at all times and are not allowed in public without a male guardian. Typical Wahhabi barbarism.

Mitra Suri was born in New Delhi, raised in Toronto. She is an Afghan/Canadian stunt woman/actress who's worked on both The Boys and Peacemaker . Her latest project is Violent Night with David Harbour (Stranger Things).

She could kick Taliban ass!

A Bollywood film makes the Top 10. Ralph Fiennes and Paul Dano are mega talents and Anya Taylor Joy's mouth feel had a good year.

Paul Dano in two hits in 2022
Two versions of Pinocchio in 2022. One a dud and one a hit.

Joaquin Phoenix won an Oscar for The Joker, Paul Dano deserves nothing less for The Riddler.

Jim Carrey took inspiration from Frank Gorshin, Paul Dano takes on The Zodiac Killer.

Paul Dano wasn't even a quarter Century old when he made There Will Be Blood. Did Daniel Day Lewis jinx him by declaring himself his biggest fan?

You want blood?
How he kept his composure with so much rage coming out of Jackman.

Prisoners is the film that turned Hugh Jackman into a serious actor, adding length to his career. Up to that point he was known as Wolverine and a mainstay in stage musicals.

Swiss Army Man is one of the best films of the 2010's.

I saw Knives Out/Glass Onion, I would have rated it higher except for improbabilities I could not suspend my disbelief over: Dave Bautista and the Mona Lisa. 7/10

With Blue is the Warmest Colour, Adele Exarchopoulos was imho the sexiest woman in the world...I had no idea at the time she was still a teenager. Unlike her co-star Leah Seydoux, she had trouble with the English language. She's stayed with French Cinema.

Can the Frenchies make a banging horror movie?

I watched it yesterday. 6.5/10.
Interesting, what didn't you like about it?

What do you mean? (I can see why the Mona Lisa thing would trip you, but what about Bautista?)
It isn't supposed to be believable, it's an Agatha Christie-style mystery with social commentary.
