doubt they'll choke to the leafs this year.
They've (you've?) said that every time.
And every time it happens.

no worries goober.

don't think the Sens will choke this year. they're not capable of choking for 37 seasons straight.

no, not me. i just think that if a team survives the first round of playoffs it's anyone's game then... so, if they lose in the 2nd, 3rd round it's not choking.

LOL why did I know that you would respond quickly...

21pro ; (speaking of 37) I am not sure if the Sens still hold this record but I know the leafs don't.
March 30, 1997 – The Ottawa Senators tie an NHL record by losing their 37th consecutive road game. However, the streak fell thousands short of the all-sport road losing streak mark held by the Washington Generals.

That's impossible....the Sens made the playoffs in '97(and every year since)
so that would have been March 30, '93 or '94.

You are right they set the record in '92 - '93 season.. 38 straight road losses.

Ah. LOL
Another semantic argument.

Hey, if a team loses to one much worse than they are, or loses a game or series they guarantee they're going to win ....... *choke choke choke*.

Personally, I'm hoping the Sens meet the Leafs in the playoffs this year. They can then get the monkey off their back and I can finally tell the Leafs fans to shut the fuck up about the Senators choking in the playoffs when meeting the Leafs.

Sens in 4.

Are you still down there? Are your still rolling on the floor laughing? Maybe not, eh. But that's where I am now!!

Sens 8 Leafs 0

McGratten - 1 Dummi - broken nose.

What a humiliation. When we won those two shoot-out games I thought "What is wrong with this picture - the Leafs are not this good". Well tonight we saw their real talent level.

It's going to be a long year for Leaf Nation. Looks good on you boys.

Dash To The Rescue

Rumour is that the Leafs are suiting up the other Domi ... Dash (the hairdresser ex-sales thingy) as a capable replacement or even bringing in the Tiger out of retirement? I am not sure if Williams would increase the team average age all that much either? cheers.

Nashville ? Look who they've faced so far. San Jose, Anaheim, Columbus, Chicago, St. Louis, etc. Not surprising they'd have a strong start.
you've forgotten to mention COLORADO.

i'm also anxious to see how nashville fairs when they have a better mix of strength of opposition. let's just see how they do in november in the 2 weeks of nov 13 to the 26. they play kings, wild, red wings, bluejackets, then back home for the kings and stars.

they'll definitely be the team i'm watching in mid november.

The Hammer
blah blah blah...Ottawa is clearly the better the team this year, however, until the Senators win some meaningful games vs Toronto, they have no reason or right to gloat in IMO...

What's that noise?

That giant sucking sound is the Leafs Nation.

I live now in GTA and have never heard such whining. Let's face it the leafs aka as the laughs just suck and will be in for a long year. The line ... "wait to the play-offs" just doesn't resonate as the Leafs won't be there.

Toronto is paying for the sins of the past in renting high priced has beens in the old NHL where you could throw money at the problem (Nolan etc) and see what works? That doesn't cut it now with the cap and we will see really way kind of GM JF jr is??? ... so far Muckler is handing him his breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Toronto needs to clean house starting w Domi (an old tough guy who calls himself a playmaker now). See you next year Leafs Nation with hopefully a faster, younger and more mobile team. Oh .. and Telliquist (or whatever spelling) ... is not the answer in nets.

Somewhere in hell ... Harold Ballard is smiling. cheers.
