.. Hey ..Paul's big test will be how he deals with this losing streak ..
...and he better start dealing with it YESTERDAY !!!..
If there are some floaters, time to bench them...as far as Sundin goes, it's his responsibility to grab this team by the scruff of the neck..and get them back on track. This team is not as good as it seemed earlier..and is not as bad as it is playing now..It would be nice if someone on this team could take a shot, from let's say the high slot, and actually put some steam on it, and make a goaltender work for a save. During their winning streak, there was a lack of this as well..just that some soft shots, and scrambly goals were going in..now they are not.
A good time to start would be tomorrow night at Joe Louis Arena. Although Detroit is a fast team, I think they are easily intimidated by physical play, and in games I've seen them play this year, very prone to turning over the puck against agressive forechecking...something the Leafs were doing very well when they were winning. This Leafs team should make the playoffs and win in the 1st round... anything less should be considered a failure, and a couple of jobs should be at stake, namely Maurice and JFJ..not to mention a few players...
