Well then do share. What is the recipe?lomotil said:Best commercial burger is still Harvey's, ....I got the recipe for the $40 hamburger at Bymarks and I make it myself, mine is second best.
Yes, I saw it yesterday. Its still there at Bloor and Yonge. Last time I went there, about 6 months ago, the burger was overcooked and dried out. But the variety of toppings there is impressive. I'd say its gone downhill. But maybe they just had an off day. YMMV?Bob Terwilliger said:There's a Toby's Good Eats at Empress Walk, if that's the same Toby's you're referring to. I think the Yonge/Bloor location is still there as well.
Start by paying too much for sirloin and grind it up (8 ounces per burger)Questor said:Well then do share. What is the recipe?

Who the hell wants a salad burger?chubby dick said:Johnnys sucks shit. How the hell can they not even offer lettuce?
Webers in Barrie is not the same as the Weber's on the highway. Although owned by the same person it is a different style restaurant. The burgers are just plain fresh chuck formed into a patty. The highway offers better atmosphere that's all. And as far as I know they will offer the patty blue rare. But once you put mustard relish pickels on it it's just another burger. the rest of the restaurants use wheat based products if you like that sorta stuff and spices. Ever try to get a rare burger at a burger joint. Tehy come out of the box grey. Yummmmmmm .....nottonytwist007 said:Webers up in Barrie.

Were you thinking of voting for me? Mine are smoked for 2 to 3 hours-
pink on the outside and cooked on the inside. I can't wait for summer.
Hey Lois,Spode said:what type of wood do you use when smoking the various cuts listed below
I would say apple wood works great. seasoned wood works best.Judas H said:Hey Lois,
If you ask Papasmerf the same question, I bet he'll say anything other than Canadian softwood.
