Hmmm...Best burgers....

The Superior on Yonge across from the Eaton Centre is excellent.

The Senator on Victoria is always a good bet.

And, there a little Burger joint on Queen just past the bridge over the DVP on the North side...can't remember the name. Older European couple owns the place. They make their own patties, a bit spicey, but they are excellent!

Don't even ask what my Cholestrol level is!

Webers up in Barrie.
I have never really figured out what it is about Webers that makes people like them so much. I find their patties to very plain and thin. I guess the whole train and bridge over the hwy helps the attraction.

Johnny's @ Victoria Park and Sheppard

Kip's Flaming Burgers aka Johnny's East (Same Owner) Kingston Road Pickering

Golden Star Yonge and Steeles Thornhill

Sunny's on Kennedy in Brampton

Best fries to go with the Burger goes to Golden Star from the above locations.
Johnny’s is another place that I can’t figure out why people like it so much. They have hardly any toppings to choose from, and their burgers are thin. Nothing really great about them.

Golden Star in Thornhill makes a really good Homemade burger called the ALL STAR, however, as of late is has been kind of greasy.

My vote goes to Licks, with their home burger with Cheese

mmmmm favorite of my childhood days... Harry's at Kennedy and Lawerence too has great Onion RIngs also.... but Dangerous Dan's at Broadview and Queen Wimpy's on Kingston RD and Lick's are still some of the best.

I have to go with Lick's too, although I haven't sampled one since they closed the Yonge and Dundas shop. Can anyone suggest a substitute in the downtown core?

Best Burger I have ever had...

...was at a place I used to go for lunch in Manhattan all the time. It was $14...$20 after the coke and tip...and when I would tell people (who didn't live in NYC...New Yorkers know everything gin Manhattan is over priced) I paid $20 for a cheese burger they would say I was crazy...but it was worth it, I swear. One of the most satisfying meals to be had, regardless of price. Unfortunately, that place closed some time ago, so I couldn't dine again on my most recent trip.

Getting to the point though, the 2nd best burger I have ever had was here in the GTA at a place called "Fred's Not Here" on King Street. They have a Kobe Beef burger that is UNREAL. I seem to recall it was like 12 - 14 dollars as well, but again, it was worth it. Delicious.

If you are talking of the fast food variety, I think Lick's is overrated, but it isn't bad...

Toronto
west end burger joints

Magoo's at Royal York /dundas - IMO best burger in this part of town

Licks - I find it depends on location. The one on the Queensway is horrible IMO . I usually head next door to Sizzling Jaks. they make a decent homestyle burger.

Apache - well IMO you only eat there when your drunk! :p ...been going for years and years lol.
Ukranian Caravan that used to be located across the street was always great for a feast!

I don't eat fast food often but I do think Lick's makes a good burger. Webers used to be good years ago but I stopped in this year and thought it was about on par with McDs (horrible)
