It is still open, sorry to inform you. They just moved out of that rat fested house to the industrial unit next door. Same owner but i think you maybe right about the name. Think it might have been changed to C&N or something like that. I was their 3 weeks ago this is how i know.
your right!...did'nt notice it in the lil plaza there...

I recently tried Acme on Queensway...pretty good! ... but I still think Magoos at Royal York/Dundas takes the cake lol

I also recently tried Heros on Queen st....was'nt impressed

I think it's closed now, they put an Asian cuisine of some kind there. :(

I agree though, they were great! We used to call it "fur burgers" because of all the hookers that hung out there.

I liked the hambugers at Mermaid fish-and-chip place across the street better, but Mermaid was not open as late as "Furburger".

I also grew up in SoCal and god, how I miss Carl's Jr. To me, that is the best charcoal cooked burger. How I wish they would come to Canada!

I can't believe nobody's mentioned Hal Burgers on Adelaide, east of Spadina. New in the past few months.
Fantastic burger...

McGoo's, Dundas West at Royal York. Try the garlic sauce and bruschetta mixture. Great fries too.

I put minced panceta and roasted garlic in my mooseburgers, then I put a slice of provolone when it's on the grill.

Chubby's at Islington and Rexdale has the best banquet burger in the city.

The Bow and Arrow at Yonge and Davisville has great beef and bison burgers. You also get a microbrewery and a large selection of single malts. I keep expecting Billy Connolly to show up there.

One of the best places, THE DETROIT EATERY on Danforth Avenue, near Chester. Tastes like's it off a barbeque in the middle of summer. Not to mention, it's huge!

I believe it was called Tasty Burgers. I use to hang out there a fair amount about 10 yrs ago when I was living in the area for a few months. Not for the burgers though. My flavour was more like a double screwdriver. Also... I learned very quickly that if I got one for one of the ladies... my table was soon full of them, entertaining me with stories of their latest conquets etc. Now I hear Tasty Burgers is no longer there? I wonder if they still attract the same crowd. Ummmm... maybe I should check it out sometime just for old time sake. :)

Only 1 person mentioned TBones?
Their home burger is great, they are open 24 hours (place is a dump, if they cleaned it up, it would be much busier and service is slow but food is good and fresh).
Harry's Drive in on Lawrence used to be good, stay away now, Johnny's, I don't know what the hype is about. Harvey's is inconsistent, but best fast food burger.
Go with the Mojo Burger at Real McCoys.

IN-N-OUT rocks!

in Amarillo Texas there's a burger/steak joint called Juicy Red Meat. the burgers there are big, but quite tasty.

in the GTA, i'd go with The Real McCoy... Outback Steakhouse has a great burger, also.

All this talk about C&W Burgers gave me a craving!

Well as I was reminding myself about the great burgers @ C&W on Dundas I got a craving - for a burger and some rings but along the way I reminded myself that Cookie Love was only a few doors away - so as I was on my way I called cookie who told me that this was an oral only week time of the month and if that was okay I was welcome. Well needless to say that was great - so I set up a time and would still have time for lunch afterwards.

Met Cookie at her regular incall - and was quickly welcomed. No time was wasted as she set out to help satisfy my cravings - no she was not serving me a burger and rings but was dishing out some of the best oral around. After a quick finish we talked a while and I was off to C&W for the Sumo Burger special, topped with fresh fried onions and homemade onion rings because I had worked up a great appetite after my time with Cookie.
