Yes they do but IMO the best tasting hero burger is Queen st w.
I use to live at St Clair and Yonge and the few times I went to the hero burger there it tasted burnt and off. I informed the manager there and told him that it didnt quite taste like the one on Queen and he said different cooks prepare the burgers different. Also tried the one in the food court in Toronto Gen hospital on universisty ave. They too didnt taste the same as queen. I also tried the one on Yonge/ King st which tasted pretty damn good.
So queen st= great
Yonge/King = great
St Clair = So so
Tor Gen = So so
I have only tried Queen St and Sherway Gardens and loved them both and both were comperable.... fwiw

My Japanese lady friend smuggled some 3Kg of Kobe from Tamba in the Hyogo Prefecture in Japan in here suitcase in through Pearson the other day.
She converted some of it into hamburger meat, which turned into the sweetest most sensual MSOG meal on the barbecue that I have ever ever tasted........:D

MSOG = Mutilple Sauces on Grill

Have just found a new favourite, only a 10 minute walk from hero (which is decent.

Craft Burger is on King, just a few doors down from FYEO. Good quality meat, variety of topping choices. Not cheap but worth it ($15 for burger, rings and shake). Staff was even friendly enough to give me the leftovers from my shake as I waited. Just don't expect to eat in - there can't be more than a dozen seats.

Highly recommend.

(I feel like I just got back from a great hobby visit and had to get my review up before the feeling wares off)

...it is around the corner from me. I was not impressed. Not bad...just not worth 15 bucks.

You know who HAS impressed me though...especially for the price? the new Angus Burger at McDonald's. I was OD'ing on them for a few days several weeks ago...I had one like 4 or 5 days in a row....

Is for Dangerous Dans. You might want to get it to go... but worth it. great burger - great service.

...there too. My first Nanny, who was the NOW Magazine / Goth twenty something type knew of the place, and took me and the boy there for lunch once. Interesting place....so interesting that I don't even remember what the burger tasted like, though I do recall it was TRES sloppy....

Jonny's (along with Golden Star and Apache) is fantastic at 2:00 AM when you are loaded. Sober, they drop to merely ok. More of a landmark that you have to try than top burgers.

Ended up at McD's today and thought, hey MLAM loves those things so I gave it a try. Bun OK, vegetables reasonably fresh, meat was pretty sad. Unlike most of their burgers, there is enough meat to really get the multiple time re-frozen taste.

Thanks for nothing.

I gotta throw in with Raven and MLAM on this one - Dangerous Dan's is the best burger in the city hands down. The friggen thing so so BIG it takes about 45 mins to eat the thing! Plus their shakes are thick enough to eat with a spoon.

The best part of all is after you have greased your insides up, you can waddle over to Jilly's across the street.

:)

Does anyone remember Fatso's near St. Clair Ave. & Vaughn Rd? After it opened around 1984 (I think), I had my first resturant burger there. It was huge for a 7 year-old.

Since the thread is back up, I'll add Utopia on College. Burger's pretty good and it's a good date place (they even offer vegetarian options on everything for those inclined).

Pretty small and busy though. Expect a line up.

Ugh. I went to Jilly's about 5 months' ago and I'll never set foot in there again. Leathery, overweight, tattoed MILF...the rejects from Brass Rail.

But yeah, Dangerous Dan's has my vote.

I know that is what makes lap dances from them so hot! It is even better if they are crying during it.
