Finished your thought for you lol.
And what does the skin color has to do with this? What do we call those unsavory characters among us who see everything based on race?

Truth hurts, eh? But remember, the key to recovery is acceptance.
Right. A poster makes a clearly race baiting post alteration- which is childish to begin with- and you find "truth". Oy, vey.

I answered your question and offered advice to help you. You're welcome. No alteration required. You, on the other hand, can't stop with the insults.

So first it was about ending border mandates (Canada has no control over US mandates), then it was about ending public health mandates (provincially installed and regulated in most cases). Now it's this "citizen‘s committee" straight from Wild Rose-ica or New Buffalo or whatever they wanna call it. Surprising to see how many here actually support separatism. My Canada has 10 provinces and 3 territories. Does theirs?

Smart move by Trudeau. What does he have to gain by meeting with the organizers, who in the past, have called for violence against him. And even if he were to meet them, their unvaxxed status would lead to liability and blame, if those he met were to become infected afterwards.

More importantly it tells the organizers that they are not important enough to meet with. That's the key message.
If the trucking industry wants to chat, the associations know how to reach him. But Lich and her cronies who have no affiliation with the trucking industry at all can go fuck themselves.

Yup, the yellow vests want a 'citizen's committee' like from the French Revolution.

That's why the Canadian trucker's associations have all disavowed them.

But the righties here want to put their fingers in their ears and say, "La la la trucks are awesome", while posting fake pics of empty shelves and truck rallies that happened last year.
Don't you ever leave your house? Everyone who has been in the stores (the stores that were at least allowed to stay open) has seen the effects of supply chain disruption with their own eyes, and it's not just in grocery stores. You'll find that Shoppers Drug Mart is unable to shelve a large number of personal care products. You'll find items at Canadian Tire are perpetually out of stock. You'll find that grocery stores and other stores are shelving alternative brands to what they normally offer.

And what about prices? As an example, groceries have shot up dramatically in price. You don't understand that to be function of reduced supply and increased transport costs?

Only a dishonest person or a shut-in would deny the existence of a serious problem (the most serious problem I've seen in my adult lifetime) with the supply chain.

It makes some sense from a psychological standpoint. The antivaxxers feel targeted and marginalized, whether anyone agrees or not is besides the point.
For those feeling especially victimized, they can take on an "enemy of my enemy is my friend" mentality. If one is strongly against vaccines then anyone who agrees on that specific subject becomes an ally even if they have to overlook the warts of that ally in other matters.

I hate to admit it but I think it would be true in the opposite direction too. If we had 10% vaccinated and a misguided trucking protest took place to demand the rest of the country be vaccinated, many pro-vax too might overlook the fact that it's not really about truckers or even vaccines but rather an event drawing attention to its organizers and their selfish motives.

It's always a bad idea to meet with a group who you are determined to ignore.

However, it would be a good idea for Trudeau to listen to truckers about the practical implications of government policy on the supply chain, and to change policy accordingly.

Nobody hates Trudeau because he wears funny socks or because he makes more money than they do. They hate him because he makes life worse for them in some way, doesn't seem to care much about that and is too stupid to solve any of their problems anyway.

I agree 100%. That's the problem with this particular exercise, it's not about truckers. If it was then the associations would be leading the charge but instead it's being run by people with dubious backgrounds and no connection to the trucking industry.
Trudeau's error was calling this a fringe element. What he should have done instead is say that he welcomes discussion to address the concerns of truckers but it needs to be actual representatives of the trucking community and not a metal cover band performer with extreme political beliefs whose only connection to trucks is that she passes them on the highway. He should have called the leadership of this rally into question rather than make the participants feel insulted.

That would be smart, to meet up with representatives of the trucking industry in say, Vancouver.
Make it a big public move.

Righties sure can't stop with the insults and name -calling, huh? All the stores around me don't have any shortages. What you're describing is a production/labour issue. Not a transportation issue. 85% of truckers are vaccinated.
