Speaking of black pudding....

Then you have to hit the gym for at least an hour afterward.
Ah, beans - breakfast of champions. The more you eat... Covid considerations currently apply.

Chicken livers when I can find them. Fried is a production, but boiled works as well...

Bon Appetit is on strike, I was right about Adam the power hungry asshole. Non-whites were being paid far less than their colleagues, the chefs withdrew their services until equal pay is implemented. Priyanka had enough and moved to NYT's Cooks. I suspect Adam has been shitcaned already but I'm not sure Brad wants the job.

Adam the pencil armed geek being an asshole. Not sure if Sola jumped ship as well. He used his power to slobber over Molly - give the girl credit, she stood up for herself.

Now that summer is over, thoughts turn to food again.

Better to begin with lovely Kate Ovens taking on Randy "Atlas" Santel.

If you don't eat meat, don't watch.

I'm a firm believer that if you're going to slaughter an animal, nothing must go to waste...delish!

Black pudding boudin - want some.

Shepherd's Pie is very close to being my favorite winter food.

Atlas hit a wall not long after this challenge and took a five month hiatus to look after his health. He made a crucial error by drinking coke instead of water.

Kate Ovens hasn't been back since her constant meat challenge, can't blame her for that.

Made a Mexican dish an ex told me about the other day.
Stir in old tortilla chips into scrambled eggs with onion and chorizo.

Really good.

They call them Hasselback potatoes but I've always called them Accordion potatoes. You can use whatever herbs/spices you want. Or add cheese....Yum!

Nice to see this thread is alive again! I quoted my own post here because I see they have Hasselback (or accordion) beets in the new fall Food & Drink magazine. Going to try them at Thanksgiving. :)

Don't get me wrong, I love a wide variety food. But I don't understand the fascination with food eating contests. Or watching someone eat as much they can. I find them repulsive.

True, Joey Chestnut has to train intensively to stay champion of Coney Island.

Kate Ovens hasn't been back since she took constant meat.

Huevos Rancheros want some but I don't know how to make them. Arizona Bar and Grill version is excellent, I'll be going for a drive soon.

Now that Bobby Flay has popularized Calabrian Chillies, they are no longer just dried into pepper flakes anymore.

On to the main event: Kate Ovens vs Steel Rod Radim...in a pipi piri pizza eating contest. After taking this challange poor Kate's lovely bottom must have glowed in the dark!

From the Pilzen Beer Festival in the Czech Republic.
