Yes sir, these are exciting times to be a 'Clarets' supporter. Gone are the high wage earners from the Dyche era, those that remain have found a new lease on life under Kompany. It's really amazing how dominant we are Championship level. Kompany brought in many young, hungry players mainly from his home country, players are lining up at the door to play for Vinny. Take nothing away from Dyche though, the man worked miracles with a shoestring budget over his 10 years tenure. Dyche is starting to make his mark at Everton, my guess is they'll survive with ease. Locals appear tp be split about how well, or badly, we'll do in PL next season. My guess is we'll struggle mightily, the gulf between the two divisions is growing year on year. Tomorrow we play Man City in FA Cup quarter finals, alas I feel a hammering is on the cards.

Onward and upward you Clarets. (y)
Hey Toliker. Its you. I remember your exciting Burnley posts during the Dyche era. Great to see them going right back up. Whether they stay up is another issue altogether. But first things first.

Tottenham Hotspurs were leading 3-1 at bottom feeder Southampton 3-1. They gave up 2 goals for a 3-3 tie.
Their coach Antonio Conte went ballistic. He called his players selfish with no heart. And said the club was used to losing.
He accepted no responsibility whatsoever for the result or the ascribed team malaise. He might not last the season

Daniel Levy is known for being really cheap, he didn’t back Pochetino when he asked for funds to rebuild the squad even though he deserved it.

Under Conte he’s bought Kulusevski, Bentancur, Emerson Royal, Sarr. They also bought Richarlison (first choice Brazilian striker but has barely scored a goal for Spurs) Romero, Bissouma last summer, and Pedro Porro in January. Pundits were fully expecting Spurs to finish above Arsenal and maybe even push for the title.

There’s some truth to what Conte was saying about the club culture and how it all comes from the top. Remember a few years back Mourinho got them to the carabao cup final, and Levy sacked him a few days before.

Levy might only wait until the summer to sack Conte because they’re currently in 4th place with Newcastle and Liverpool breathing down their necks.

Just wondering what everyone’s thoughts are on a super league?

doesn’t football work well the way it is currently constructed? All I see is executives trying to ruin what seems to be working just fine.
It’s an attempt by big money spending team to secure their investment.

They do not like seeing Porto, Lille or Benfica or other Napoli like team to play on their background.

It’s a shame if it happens.

As far as I'm concerned the big clubs can pi$$ off and start their own league, good riddance, let the other clubs carry on in more competitive leagues.

How on earth can you say footie works well as is? EPL is dominated by 3-4 clubs, Newcastle will be joining the 'have' clubs in the near future. France is dominated by one club, Germany by one club, Spain 2, Italy 2 or 3. Belgium, Netherlands and Portugal leagues are little more than farm leagues for the big boys. Leagues as is are not competitive enough, and isn't
competition the whole idea behind national leagues? Sure, without the 'have' clubs the talent pool will lessen, but competition will increase.

Totally against. I don't know if money will end up ruining this game, a super league will make it worse.

As I predicted, Antonio Conte is gone apparently by "mutual consent."

Spurs are looking to speak to fired Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann to become manager. He will be better served to sit this one out and wait for possible vacancy at PSG or Madrid.

Kane maybe going to United or Bayern...also Saturday morning Liverpool -City

Harry Kane transfer: Man Utd the realistic destination for Tottenham striker, says Jamie Carragher
Harry Kane's future has been brought into the spotlight after Tottenham limped out of the Champions League after losing to AC Milan 1-0 on aggregate; the 29-year-old is approaching the final year of his contract at Spurs and has been linked with a move to Man Utd and Bayern Munich

I'd rather Man Utd go for Victor Osimhen. He and Rashford would rekindle the famed "Blues Brothers" strike force of Dwight Yorke and Andy Cole

Gabriel Jesus returns from injury and fires 2 goals for the Gunners against Leeds: 4-1. Title creeping closer for the student (Arteta) against his teacher (Guardiola)

Both teams have momentum right now, Arsenal have to play away against Liverpool and MC
while MC is still competing in the CL and FA cup, tough games ahead for both teams.
