Premier league top scorers so far this season. Last years joint golden boot winners Salah and Son (23) have almost dropped off the list entirely. Sons drop in form is even more dramatic, he’s only scored 5 goals this year, 4 of them from the bench.

Arsenal are really spreading the goals around the team as they don’t have anyone whose reached 10 goals yet, despite being top of the league.

Haaland is eyeing the all time premier league goal scoring record of 34 which has been held by Andy Cole and Alan Shearer since 93-94 and 94-95 seasons respectively.

Hum... How could Son score 4 goals from the bench?? 🤔

Asking a general question here. Anyone interested by an MLS thread?

I am a huge MLS soccer fan. I know I know it's not highest quality soccer like the EPL, Ligue 1 or La Liga. But it's very fast paced and interesting soccer game to watch.

I think the fact that there is no relegation and that almost all team has a chance to make the playoff makes the MLS game always playing to score instead of not losing...

Let me know...

p.s. Of course I am a fan of Montreal but also big fan of Toronto. Ever since they got Giovinco who was my idol ;)

I say go for it. I’m sure we could make it work as it’s the only thing for us football fans to watch during the long summer months without international tournaments. Most of us here will be natural TFC fans.

The league will get a huge boost in attention if Inter Miami succeed in signing Messi.

Yeah I will start a thread.

To be honest I am not sure Messi is that interested by coming to the US. Even if he bough a huge condo in Miami.

The trend in the past few year is that the MLS sent much more player to Europe then it acquired. It's becoming a real strong development league instead of a retirement league. On that front China, Japan and the Saudi Arabia has much more money to attract retiring star...

The magic of the FA Cup rolls on. League Two Grimsby Town stunned Premier League club Southampton 2-1 away from home. Grimsby is a fishing town and their fans waving plastic fish was a sight to behold. Incredible.

Elsewhere, Man Utd fixture against West Ham at Old Trafford started with Rashford, Casemiro on the bench. Ten Hag promptly sent in reinforcements when the Hammers took the lead early in the second half. Casemiro goal was rightly ruled out for offside but Man Utd equalized and scored two more late to close the match. The star of the match was 18-year old Alejandro Garnacho who scored the go ahead goal with a delightful curl. The Argentinian youngster is a star in the making.

Another youngster with a bright future is 21-year old Brazilian Gabriel Martinelli of Arsenal. He chipped in 2 goals as the Gunners brushed aside the Toffees 4-0 to buttress their championship aspirations. Arteta is applying the same tactics as his professor Pep Guardiola of Man City: full throttle speed. At just 21 years, Bukayo Saka, the leader of the Gunners, looks like a chiseled veteran. No team is catching the Gunners. Hand them the trophy already.

Too soon :) May be if MC stumble again but both teams have 13 games left, Arsenal are in control though.

Their game against the Toffees is the basis for my prediction. They attacked and defended in waves. No gaps. Mate, not enough to just say too soon. You want to put a stake in the ground and call it or what?

But the Toffees are ranked 18th, not exactly a powerhouse :D
and there was that revenge factor too!

Gary Neville won’t let his rivalry with Arsenal go from his time as a player. He keeps insisting that Man City will overtake Arsenal to win the league. After the Arsenal stoppage time winner against Villa he tweeted out that Arsenal were too emotional too early and that would mentally drain them during the run in. He also did this kind of stuff when Liverpool were city’s main rivals.

I bet Pep is regretting selling Zinchenko to Arsenal right now. He sold him and Jesus to his understudy Arteta as a favour, and because he didn’t consider Arsenal a threat to him at the beginning of the season. Zinchenko has transformed the way that Arsenal play down the the left. Pep then had a falling out with Cancelo and loaned him to Bayern out of anger in January, so now city don’t have a left back and have been playing Bernardo Silva there.

I see you still wont make a call 😂
Alright you're backing me into a corner, here's a bold prediction LOL.
MC to win the epl again, they got the firepower and they'll play Arsenal at the Etihad,
I don't see these 2 teams stumbling a lot so this may go down to the wire.

Arsenal continue to prove the doubters wrong, impressive.

Small reminder before tomorrow’s match between Liverpool and United at Anfield.

Liverpool have gone 32 games without a penalty in the Premier League.
They've had 1,138 touches in the opp box in this run.

That's the most touches in the box any side has ever had over a run of Premier League games without getting a single penalty on Opta's records.

Liverpool humiliated ManU 7-0. They were all over them form the first minute, it was like the old Liverpool woke up and Man give up playing.

MU's defensive collapse was unreal, Ten Hag should be worried, even De Gea sucked.

Not to take anything away from Liverpool, this looked like the Liverpool side that would've won the EPL
had the ball rolled another inch at MC's goal line 2-3 years ago.
Gakpo and Nunez were just awesome, and we had flashbacks of the old Salah and Firmino,
Liverpool's pressing game was ferocious from the get go.

Premier League, Carabao Cup, FA Cup, Europa League. Two tough games a week plus constant training. The defeat was painful but I will give them a pass on this one.

With Bobby announcing that he’s leaving in the summer, Gakpo looks most capable of filling his false 9 role based on that display. Mo Salah is now Liverpool’s all time premier league leading goal scorer, passing Robbie Fowler.

Really a shocking result but this is why I love supporting Liverpool, especially under Klopp. Get thumped 5-2 by Real Madrid one week then turn around and thump united 7-0 the next week. There’s still life in the old dog yet.

It's tough at the top :) but this is still a strong team, the collapse was mental,
things could've gone differently had Rashford scored early in the first half but Liverpool showed up to fight (I expected a close game or a draw tbh).

Something clearly clicked, I'm starting to like the Gakpo-Nunez-Salah trio, thought Nunez was the real 9,
may be Klopp has finally found his formula, time will tell, the Gakpo-Salah-Gakpo fast break goal was a beauty
and proves Salah is lethal even if he hadn't scored (his 2 goals were opportunistic but the first one was delicious).
