Yeah, he is. Time for life as a civilian for Shays (R CT) and to never return to public service again. Ditto to Sununu.
I believe the Democratic Party would be more than happy to make you an honourary Yeller Dog Democrat you certainly fit the mold Gyaos.

Independent. Your boy does not support the views of independent decision making. You can always attack his opponent, I'm not running against that prick (Shays R CT). :p

All the major media outlets have projected Pennsylvania to Obama. I think this is going to be over early tonight.
Georgia has gone to McCain. It will probably once again hinge on Ohio and Florida.

It isn't going to hinge on anything, Obama is headed for in the neighbourhood of 370+ electoral votes, around a hundred more than he needs. He could give up many states, he could lose both Florida and Ohio for example, and still win comfortably. No hinge tonight.

That isn't what most of the political blogs or the networks are saying. Perhaps you are correct. But right now you're a lone voice.

You should quit reading GOP blogs. Odds on betting sites are that Obama takes 375 EV's.

At this point (9:10 eastern) they are also giving McCain only around a 5% chance of winning, on Intrade.

The networks like to make it sound closer than it is because that keeps eyeballs glued to TV sets, and that makes them money. So they report irrelevant things like the share of the popular vote and downplay how much of a lead Obama really has in EV's.

It's like his primary campaign--he concentrated on the states that got him EV's and he has a much larger EV lead than popular vote lead.

What I always find interesting because it has to do with the voluntary nature of consent to be governed in representative democracies, are how the vote is going country by county. It has absolutely nothing to do with the outcome of the election, but it does have a lot to do with what large sections of the country think.

Ohio has been called for Obama. You can stick a fork in John McCain. The only question remains is how overcooked McCain gets.

If that's true you're right.

...it is over.

ABC is saying Republican turnout is down. Whoa....for all the damage Palin did, one thing she was SUPPOSED to do was energize the base. If she didn't even do that....there will be NO Palin for President in 2012...

McCain sealed his fate by picking Palin. He deserves to lose.

...a decided lack of judgment.

When the "intellectual conservatives" started piling on her, that was telling. They not only thought she was an idiot, but they also spoke to what it meant that McCain picked her when she was clearly not qualified. It really put HIS judgment and credibility (Country first or winning first?) into call...

Arizona, McCain's home state where he is going to hold his last rally tonight, still too close to call after polls have been closed for more than an hour. That's gotta hurt.

That was never going to happen, but I wouldn't be surprised to see her in the Senate in a couple of years.....
