That was never going to happen, but I wouldn't be surprised to see her in the Senate in a couple of years.
I agree with you.

If by then we are all still on TERB we can listen (or more likely listen to the deathly silence) about Senator Palin. If Mark Begich wins tonight look for him to be taken out by Palin in six years (which would work out pretty well with her second term as governor).

FL is Obama. 333. I predicted 372-378, lets see how much more Obama gets. Great, no more jobs going to China and India! Wal Mart will FINALLY be split up.

Health Insurance companies are starting to shred documents.

Absolutely. The idea that America would elect a President of African descent when I was a kid would have been beyond laughable. The country moves, sometimes at a glacier pace, but it does move. As Lincoln suggested we can put aside our prejudices, and appeal to the better angels of our nature. The best man won.

Right Gyaos and by what power is the Federal Government splitting up Walmart? You act like you believe the U.S. to be some sort of second rate Banana Republic. If President-Elect Obama’s U.S. supporters are like you, it’s going to be a very, very long four years for him.

Spreading the wealth from the bottom up. Wal Mart salaries (see Obama's 30 minute infomercial), no health insurance from that cock-sucking company, everything is made in China, Ma and Pa competitors shut down because of Wal Mart. By saying it will be split up, like CBS and Viacom, is being generous.

Obama won't issue any executive order, but Americans will again have a 1999 boom and to create that, Wal Mart will have no choice, economically, but to split up, so the ground up CAN prosper.

Say goodbye to all those Republicans that ruined America under Bush Jr.

That really is one of the just plain sillest things I've read here on TERB

Good luck seeing that come to pass.

Dems will win Larry Craig's old seat in Idaho.
Republicans also held the Idaho seat of Sen. Larry Craig, who decided not to run for re-election after he was caught last year in a men's room sting. Idaho Lt. Gov. Jim Risch won the seat.

Oh well, if they were backward enough to elect Craig in the first place:rolleyes: Risch is a real mouth-breathing asshole, though.

I don't know about that, but a good man won. I expect he'll at least try governing from the middle, I think he'll get more blowback from his own party on that than mine.

That's the exct same thing you said when I told you the Dow would drop from 14000 to 7800, and it did. The silliest thing I ever read on TERB is that you think a measily little low-life Republican crooked US Representative, Chris Shays of Connect-it-c*nt, is God's gift to Congress....well not anymore.

I would agree with you said ... he will have govern from the middle. There are enough Blue Dogs in the Congress and Senate now that will push the left to the center.

The only thing I do worry about is that Republicans in the 90's by saying any ole thing to inflame people ... while I worry about that this election clearly showed that if you went over the top negative you ended up hurting yourself.

We will see ... I'm taking bets that Obama makes McCain the Energy sectary

In some ways I think the Republicans will enjoy having no responsibility for at least 2 years..... I'm reminded of a PJ O'Rourk joke, "Democrats think government is the solutions to all problems, Republican's think government can't work, get elected and prove it." I think it will be much easier to rekindle the "government is the problem" argument when out of power.

Government has a lock on the inefficient / ineffective quadrant, look at any major government program (education, social security, budgets, regulations......) they are all a mess.

Reagan is rolling in his grave, that's for certain.

Personally I think Reagan was rolling around in his grave with the Bush Republicans and all that spending. With the changing demographics especially out west the GOP better start moving to the Center Right or face being out dated much the same way the Dems were made outdated by Reagan.

I would agree with that.
