This was the last single to chart for Mickey & Sylvia who were best known for "Love Is Strange", "Lovedrops" only reached #97 on Billboard in 1961.

A great cover version by Barry Allen who hailed from Alberta became a hit across Canada in 1966, it reached #4 on the local CHUM chart in Toronto.

"Take Me In Your Arms (Rock Me A Little While)" was a minor hit for Kim Weston on Motown records back in 1965.
The Doobie Brothers did a cover and had much more success with the song in 1975.

"Moody River" was originally done by Chase Webster, a country rockabilly singer of the fifties.

His label mate, Pat Boone did a cover of it and took it to #1 on the Billboard chart in 1961.
It has sad lyrics about cheating and suicide but it's weird to have an upbeat piano accompanying him.

John Fogerty's cover in 1975 is interesting, I like the guitar work on it.

Bert Convy, the host of "Super Password" was in The Cheers who performed this novelty song in 1955.

It's weird that Edith Piaf chose to do a cover of "Black Denim Trousers And Motorcycle Boots" in 1956, translated to "L'homme à la Moto".

Chris Spedding also did an interesting cover of the tune later on.

Hehe, I found a couple of pop songs covered by metal bands. Rather amusing, given the second band is a melodic death metal band.

And some other covers I enjoy... The first has been redone by a lot of people, but this is one of my favorite versions(and not just because I think the vocalist and keyboard player are hot)... The second I just love the way the vocalist sounds... Though I still love the originals of both best!

Here's Alice Cooper's first single "Reflected" from 1969.

They later rewrote the song as "Elected" for their 1972 album "Billion Dollar Babies".
