The Drifters - On Broadway

George Benson's funkier cover version. Still, I prefer The Drifter's classic version.

Mark Knopfler does a cover of his own song, along with Chet Atkins and the Everly Brothers.

Mark Knopfler and Chet Atkins do a great version of The House of the Rising Sun

The original version of Blueberry Hill was done by Gene Autry in 1940. Glenn Miller had a #1 hit with it later the same year, both several years before Fats Domino's successful cover.

"Trying To Get To You" was first recorded by The Eagles in 1954, then Elvis covered it when he was still with Sun Records and it was released on his first album in 1956.
Great tune!

"Dedicated To The One I Love" was first recorded by the Five Royales in 1957, a cover by the Shirelles was done the next year with a bit of success and then re-released in 1961 to become a major hit.

In 1967, the Mamas & the Papas also had a very big hit with the song with their cover version.

In 1967, Jerry Lee Lewis was the first to record Mickey Newbury's "Just Dropped In (To See What Condition My Condition Was In) but he wasn't happy with it.
The First Edition with Kenny Rogers as their singer did a psychedelic cover of it and had their first hit in 1968. Glen Campbell played a cool guitar on the session.

I noticed you can now only put up one video in each post, that sucks.
Here's The First Edition's version of the song.
