The team on the field this year is a result of managements efforts during the off season, which was nothing.

They will be sellers at the trade deadline.

Hopefully Rogers rids themselves of these two has beens and moves in a different direction.

There was only a bit under 24k last night for attendance. And i can bet a lot of them were there for the Vladdy bobblehead. Tonight, probably quite a few for the cheap hotdogs. It should be interesting to see the numbers when there isn't a promotion or cheap hotdogs. The fans have turned on the Jays. And it's only going to get worse. The only way i'm going to a game this year is because one of my tax clients is a ticket broker and there's no guarantee i'll take him up on his offer of a free game. I think i'll see what he has concert wise.

it is encouraging to see more empty seats - best way to send a message is not going to the games. But then you have the outfield bars and playground. Do those people even watch the game?
That's why they built things like bars and playgrounds, to keep people from watching losing baseball.

….it’s good that we get a real dose of reality…. it’s good that everyone gets the dose of reality. This is the way the Blue Jays look against a real team lol. No chance in hell

Was there ever any doubt? This is what bugged the shit out of me when announcers and people kept saying "well they have an easy part of the schedule coming up so they have a chance to get on track" when the had last few series. Okay....so the bench mark is if we can beat the White Sox and Pirates we should ignore the fact the team sucks??? What a fucking joke.

I knew they were going to suck from early April. Jethro Bodine has been dismantling the team for all of this decade To add insult to injury Jays Nona has been removed from her seat.

Sid must have been in awestruck!

They completely suck. And so does Bichettes body language. I don’t know if I’m the only one, but I’ve seen him not running out ground balls and looking very sulky.

They tricked me coming out of spring training 😡and I know this game well, and I don’t fool easily. I was really feeling the vibes of 1992 and Guerrero being Carter, and Bichette being Alomar, and Turner being Winfield…. The 2024 Toronto Blue Jays are a bunch of losers.

Definitely too many cooks in this kitchen. Edward Rogers III seems to have the last word. Surrounded by incompetent sycophants, this team will not change until competent ownership takes over.

Clearly they are not even trying to appeal to actual baseball fans. Only the party crowd. To attract baseball fans, they'd need to put a professional baseball team on the field.

At least we get to see Emily Agard.

Ownership's main responsibility is to give the baseball department the resources with which to succeed. In that regard, I feel that Rogers has fulfilled their duty.

I made such a bold prediction that they were going to win the World Series. Totally shot myself in the foot or that one. This team is absolutely horrible. Heaven forbid they played the Yankees in midseason form. The Yankees would score so many runs, they would break the score box display and Jumbotron.

This team is perplexing. You just don’t know what you’re going to get from them day in and day out. I thought this young core was it, but now I’m not so sure.
