After playing two more games against Pittsburgh, the Jays have a really tough schedule in the month of June. True, the Jays have won 4 games in a row. However, 3 of those wins were against the pathetic Chicago White Sox, and last night's win was against the below average Pittsburgh Pirates!!

That was a real barn burner today. The should have had a stake so they could have burned Shatkins at it.

The only time the fans were out of their seats was the 7th inning stretch.

I wish I had words that could explain the way this team just cannot compete with teams like Baltimore. I hate to say it but I think a retooling for next year is inevitable. Ross Atkins isn’t going anywhere. There is no way Shapiro is firing him. They probably took a family vacation together to Tahiti for all we know….. Aaron Judge could very likely hit 60 home runs again this year. Guerrero will be lucky if he hits 15.

I don't think it will even be up to Shapiro.
That’s the only scenario where Atkins would lose his job IMHO. Imagine the relationship they have working together for 23 years, in both Toronto and Cleveland combined.

My guess is Shapiro would get a tap on the shoulder and the conversation would go something like this "we've really liked what you've done so far, and we still believe in you, but from a PR perspective, we think would be a good time for a fresh face in the GM role".

And then Shapiro says “our kids go to school together, our wives are best friends, and I just love Ross. Sorry guys I can’t do it.”

Ross Atkins is probably just a Shapiro puppet anyways. Shapiro probably calls all the shots, and overrides all the deals.

Pat Quinn + Rick Ley = Mark Shapiro + Ross Atkins.

I’m rooting for the Yankees to win it all. Garrett Cole starts his rehab assignment today in AA….. This is such an awesome team. Aaron Judge will likely hit around 60. Juan Soto will likely hit around 40 plus. And Stanton will probably hit around 35. Clay Holmes will probably have over 40 saves with his 1.37 ERA. Carlos Rodon is 7 and 2. Marcus Stroman is 5 and 2. I’m totally sporting my Yankees cap this year.

I had tickets to a Blue Jays game last month and I gave them away. My only tickets to a Blue Jays game this year is during a series in New York this summer that I’m going to. I felt so good about this team coming out of spring training, only to be completely disappointed.

….it’s good that we get a real dose of reality…. it’s good that everyone gets the dose of reality. This is the way the Blue Jays look against a real team lol. No chance in hell

it is encouraging to see more empty seats - best way to send a message is not going to the games. But then you have the outfield bars and playground. Do those people even watch the game?
