Obvious or not, Lafleur's smoking and lung cancer were mentioned in numerous media reports and on social media. I have no problem mentioning it. The point of my post, which you failed to understand, was so many other Habs also contracted cancer (a cancer cluster).

Montoyo should have let Manoah vie for the complete game, pitch count low, arm wasn't tired.

In 1982 Dave Stieb had 19 complete games. Times change.
They sure have. I remember when Steve Rogers of the Expos used to finish games that he lost. He averaged about 10 complete games a year during his carreer in the 1970s and 80s.

Interesting stats, thanks. When you consider that most of the new acquisitions are performing well, it really underscores that the biggest issue for the Jays so far this year has been the lack of hitting from most of the usual "go to" guys.

Apple TV. Part of some deal they made for a few games each year.

Ya they mentioned it a few times during yesterday's broadcast. I hate it. According to reports Apple paid over $2 billion for the exclusive rights to broadcast selected games on Fridays. It's a way to promote Apple TV. This is frustrating for hard core fans who have no intention of ever subscribing to Apple TV. Also probably frustrates Rogers even though they receive a share of the Apple revenue because they can't broadcast games of a team they own.

Thanks. I guess always also a way to get people to switch from Android to Apple products. All of my mainstream devices are not Apple products. Maybe I'll charge up my old iPod and give it a try.

Jays are now a couple of percentage points ahead of the Angels for the 2nd wild card spot.

Marcus Semien hit his 1st homer of the year in Texas' 45th game. If he keeps it up he'll have almost 4 homers by the end of the year. He hit 45 for the Jays last year.

NL west is 27 games over .500

AL east is 22 games over .500

Every other division is below .500

What a come back for the sweep!
Captain Kirk is Jay's best pure hitter.
Kirk's becoming a better catcher as well. They have a player with a bright future there.

And Moreno is lurking in Buffalo.........Janssen is looking strong as well.

They have depth at this position to deal from......But they have to be careful

Wild game and fun to watch. Berrios struggled but good to see the bats heating up.
