I was sitting high up today in the upper deck. I thought it was pre-mature to issue the warning in the first inning since no one would worry about Dickey throwing at anybody. Bit once the warning was in effect - Volquez should have been tossed the next time he came up and in......and inexcusable for third time and after Tulo was hit. Credit to Sanchez.....he threw at the legs of a speed guy. Wolf hadn't ejected anybody all year......so his thumb was rusty......might be the curse of working on a crew where Angel Hernandez is the chief.
Bright side...we look like the best team in baseball now. Caution note....the weak link is Kevin Pillar. All centrefielders make running catches and no real problem on defense...but he is an easy out when it counts the most. I would consider playing Revere in centre and get Valencia back for left...(next year Saunders). Small managerial error bringing Osuna in when Sanchez got tossed (interesting that he was warming up.....if you know the game, you knew Escobar was going to get thrown at). Should have brought the veteran Hawkins in to finish the 8th, and Osuna in the ninth. Might affect using Osuna tomorrow.
Anyhow, great game and go Jays
