It's interesting to check out the stats for the other ALE teams. We have a better rotation than either the Yanks or the O's.

2006, from that article, it is simply an allegation.

Regarding the Biogenesis investigation, did he test positive for something?
They are indeed just allegations.
I just threw them in as an added bonus

2003, reportedly tested positive
I'm glad you agree, Costanza. You're starting to come around on a lot of things.

I think there's hope for ya :thumb:

Agree on what, he reportedly tested positive 12 years ago, what's your point?
Not proven.

Exactly what am I coming around on?

Hope for me?
But wait, according to you, I'm beyond stupid (post #1278 of this thread).

Best comeback ever !!!!! ZINGGGGGGG !!!

Jays update for you AK Close game. No clutch hits from EE today. Again. Pillar error free in center field. WIllie Mays admits he was just a Kevin Pillar wannabe. Estrada hasn't given up any hits again. Incredible. Bullpen steady. Seems to be working out with the relief boys.

Rumour has it Joey Mclaughlin has completed a rather lengthy rehab assignment and has at long last been reinstated as the closer.

Three of Johnny Vander Meer's descendants have commented in the past 24 hours that they wish ol' Johnny was nearly as good a pitcher as Estrada.

Joey McLaughlin? Oh no!
I was hoping Roy Lee Jackson was going to get save opportunities for the Jays.

He's been solid in the minors despite a 88mph fastball and no devastating breaking stuff. He's kinda like Beurhle, just goes about his business and gets guys out.
It's an interesting story , Boyd was one of the punted picks from the 2013 draft (6th round), being a college senior he had little leverage and was thought not to have much upside. Was signed way below slot. Good to see he's proving everyone wrong.

Costanza, if A-Rod never test + then why would mlb.com link that SI article directly on their site??

Link again: http://m.mlb.com/news/article/3806844/

This is gonna be good :biggrin1:
Why does MLB link that article?
MLB (corporately) doesn't seem to like Alex Rodriguez very much.
I suspect (this is not fact, but my opinion) MLB uses every opportunity to attempt to embarrass Alex Rodriguez.

Two key sentences from that article:

He reportedly tested positive for testosterone and an anabolic steroid called Primobolan while playing for Texas.
There is no indication that Rodriguez has tested positive for steroids since 2003.

ak47, you've shown multiple times through this thread that you deal a lot in conjecture, opinion and accusations.

Reportedly does not mean absolute fact.

He hasn't tested positive since 2003 (unless you can provide evidence to show otherwise).
That's twelve years ago. Those chemicals have probably cleared his system.

Why the witch hunt for this particular player?

The MLB did the steroid test themselves. It was a surprise test and they wanted to see how many players were juiced. At the time steroids were not against MLB rules, thats why they never punished Arod.

When MLB posts that article on their site without refuting its veracity, any reasonable person can deduce he indeed tested positive.

He's also gonna be 40 yrs old next month, and he's still playing like a 20-year old. Add to that he Biogenesis mess, and IIRC he loosely admitted to PED use in an ESPN interview (I'll see if I can find that interview on youtube).

The man is a cheat

He admitted using them in 2010-2012 in the Biogenesis investigation and ratted out his own cousin who A-Rod was using as a stooge and a gopher. Classy?

This is the same fucker who lied like a sea bass and denied everything until the day of the hearing.

I noticed he spent very little time in AAA. Should be interesting. Thanks for the additional info.
