I would bet that all the regulars are hurting and exhausted right now. Gibby fielded the core 8 every game over the last month or so. The only variation was who played short and batted 9th.Dickey went 5 scoreless innings in the second game. That game was winnable with a little help from the regulars.
Wish they held off the celebration until after winning the World Series.Just looking at those photos of last night's celebration, I'm not betting on the boys to win the game at noon today.
Hutch has already got the Cy Young nailed down. His particular brand of Leading by Losing and Positive Negativism has become my own personal Code.Hutch will pitch a no hitter today....and start game 3 in the ALDS....how else can he win the Cy Young? Seriously, I expect Hutch to do very well today
That means that Price and Stroman will start no more regular season games. I wonder if they will use Estrada on Sunday, or some combo of Bison relievers, or a late call-up?David Price apparently will skip his start Saturday, and throw a couple bullpen sessions to stay sharp for next Thursday's game.
Yeah, I see the logic in that. Also, eliminates the risk of an on field injury (Tulo). Also, eliminates the possibility of an Orioles pitcher throwing at Donaldson's head.I would bet that all the regulars are hurting and exhausted right now. Winning a couple of extra regular season games is useless if the team cannot compete in the ALDS.
It was colder in Baltimore than in Toronto yesterday. A hurricane is gathering strength from the Sargasso Sea sucking in most of the heat energy in the region, hence the Chesapeake Bay area could get walloped. Washington could get flooded, Baltimore could be hit hard. That's the main reason why today's game has been moved up to noon. After what Baltimore has been through this year, a natural disaster makes things much worse. I feel for them.Of course he was freezing, they were dumping bottles of cold champagne and beer all over themselves. Sure there was a chill in the air outside, but I doubt turning the heat off inside would have cooled the place off that much. I haven't even turned the heat on in my house yet and it's still plenty warm at night inside.
It was still in the teens , hardly cold enough to let an interior room inside the stadium cool off to any noticeable degree. Yes I knew why the game was moved up, I listen to the radio too.It was colder in Baltimore than in Toronto yesterday. Well, so much for that no hitter lolHutch will pitch a no hitter today....and start game 3 in the ALDS....how else can he win the Cy Young? Seriously, I expect Hutch to do very well today
They may not need to. I believe the magic number to secure the home field is 2. So if that works out before the end of the season they won't play it.So if they cant play today, when will they make up this game?![]()
Quite frankly I cant recall this ever happening, but it looks like you're right. MLB will probably let this game slide. It happened to Orioles before in 2008:They may not need to. I believe the magic number to secure the home field is 2. So if that works out before the end of the season they won't play it.
They can always play it if neccesary next week as the ALDS doesn't start until Thursday
