biggest problem now appears to be starting pitching, it looked so solid early then the injuries decimated it and Romero and Alvarez fell apart. Morrow returns this weekend,lets hope that goes well. Bautista and his bat are back too. Bautista's return helps all the bats as the opposition pitches the whole team differently when he is in the line up.

I think now it's mainly the lack of offence. They have been been losing a lot of games like today's by a small margin. It seems that apart from Encarnacion there have been very few players scoring runs lately.

A return of Lawrie, Bautista and Lind, and a return of form Rasmus was showing before his latest injury, would lead to quite different results. Too late now of course to look for a happy end to the season, but reasons to be hopeful for next year.

Happ through a great game today and deserved a W not a No Decision. There have been other well pitched games recentlly where the offence has been little or non-existent.I'm concerned about the starters because what looked to be the core went down with injuries.I like Happ and Villeneuva but they should be 4 and 5 and at the moment they are 1 and 2. Morrow pitches this weekend, lets hope that goes well. Drabek, Hutchison, McGowan, Litsch who knows. There are stories that Litsch and McGowan are finished. Drabek had his second Tommy John, that can't be good. Romero still looks good most of the time but throws 1 or 2 bad innings and with no offense to pick him up is coming apart mentally. Alvarez shall we say, lacks consistency and has to be more of a pitcher and less of a thrower. I am not a Laffey fan,IMHO he is more suited to long relief.

Last night were our best seats. We had about 8 MLB scouts surrounding us with notepads, radar guns and stopwatches.

Is it true that Bautista is back on the DL? Tendons and ligaments take forever to heal. Sometimes it is better to just have a broken wrist, set it and put it in a cast for 3 weeks.

Especially the young guys like Lawrie. I had no idea how much I'd miss Lawrie,

I fear young Brett and Bautusta are gone for the year. Young Brett has to learn that chasing a foul ball is not worth your life. As for Jose, why oh why did you have to participate in that silly home run derby?

This season is all but over for the Jays. Both players are an integral part of the team, however, I would rather they shut them both down now and bring them back 100% healthy in 2013.
Next season will be interesting as the Jays will have a new look at starting pitcher. The guys recuperating from Tommy John probably won't be ready to start the season and it may take them a while to build their arm strength up and some could end up in the bull pen. AA has a big job ahead of him finding arms. The current bull pen looks respectable, lets hope he can keep the bulk of them together and they stay healthy.

The injury happened during an at bat one week after it; there were no ill effects from the All Star Game. It was, simply, an accident.

A stretched tendon doesn't JUST HAPPENS. One of my friends blew one of the tendons in his knee one morning. No, it didn't JUST HAPPEN that morning. The origin goes back over a period of time. The swing in the home run derby is very unnatural.

Rocky,I hate the derby too but I really don't think that was the cause. It may have furter aggravated the injury but I doubt if it was the cause.

How come the injury occurred a week AFTER and not a week BEFORE the HR derby? Coincidence? Let's be blunt, the HR derby swing is unnatural.
