McCowen was talking with Zaun today on his show (I like Zaun's style) and they were discussing the possibility of Ozzie managing the Jays. They both agreed that he is a good manager and he has a style that will not tolerate slackers or players who don't play as a team.
However Zaun mentioned that a few of the players would be pretty upset if Ozzie disciplines them or sits them down when they make stupid mistakes - Something that Farrell did not do. He mentioned that sooner or later some of the bull that happened within the club-house this season will be revealed.
Not too sure exactly who he was referring to but I have to admit that a couple of players made some dumb decisions during games this season - Decisions that were outright stupid. Lawrie and Escobar come to mind.
The other thing I noticed during the latter part of the season was that the team seemed to just quit playing with any intensity. I'm not too sure if it was because of injuries, Farrell's Boston rumour's or a combination of other factors.
But as I mentioned earlier, I like Zaun's style and that he is not afraid to call it as it is.
