BA is almost the same. How many AB's for each?

Can you do a Glaus/Rolen comparison?

Thanks.

Always interesting to see how the questionable moves pan out over the course of a long season.

Another weak batting performance especially in the 9th with one out and bases loaded. Glad I wasn't there.

that my friend is NOT going to happen anytime soon, the batting coach was handpicked by the idiot who works as a GM and until he goes and Gibbons is also replaced we are going to have to wait

I was there.... its so frustrating. They had other chances earlier in the game too. I think it was the fifth and they have runners on first and second with no one out and Zaun coming to the plate. They are down a run and they have Zaun swinging away instead of bunting... I'm going insane and then it happens... Zaun hits into a double play which effectively kills the inning. Its not like the Jays are swinging hot bats, why in the world does Gibbons not bunt in that situation?

Just fucking sicking.

TRADE SOME PITCHING FOR BATTING.

Obviously you can't win with Pitching alone, the Jays are proving that.
I suggest Trading Rios and McGowen for Joey Votto. or another young offensively gifted stud.

Batting Coach has nothin' to do with anything.
Three years ago the Jays were one of the top hitting teams.
Two years ago the couldn't hit worth shit.
Last year they replaced the hitting coach and nothing happened.

TRADE SOME FOR HITTING WE HAVE THE TOP RATED PITCHING STAFF

Thank God you're not the GM. Rios and McGowan? So then your pitching and outfield is weakened... great.

Man these guy are delusional.

TORONTO -- Blue Jays outfielder Brad Wilkerson is a player the team has coveted for a long time. Toronto tried to acquire the outfielder on various occasions in years past, but was unable to do so until earlier in May, when Wilkerson became a free agent.

Now a member of the Jays and firmly entrenched in the team's outfield picture, Wilkerson has won the praises of his manager.

"I like everything about Wilkerson," Toronto skipper John Gibbons said prior to Wednesday's game against the Angels. "We've been winning with him in there. He's a very good outfielder. He's got a good eye at the plate."
Wilkerson became a "free agent" because Seattle thought he sucked.

If he has a good eye at the plate why does he have more strike outs then hits this season? What ever these guys are on I want some. :p

I told you before Hunter if you want news about the Jays DO NOT go to their website.....they are fucking high....

*** McGowan and Rios to be traded ???? you are also high Ray

*** Brownie I have been asking the same question (with regards to bunting for quite a while my conclusion is that either Gibbons is too stupid to do it ot Big Beak put a stop to that)

I said a while back that Burnett was overvalued and would be hard to move. But now I learn that he is in the last year of his contract and is likely not to come back. The question is should the Jays move him? If they do that would put Percy in the rotation. I'm thinking the Yankees would be all over this one.

The Yankees are now in 'panic mode', however, I can't see them going after Burnett. It is no secret that they have their eyes on a much bigger prize - that being CC Sabathia, who will become available at the end of the season. There is going to be a lot of money available next year (Giambi, Pettitte, Farnsworth, Abreu, Mussina - all have contracts up), plus the new stadium will bring in a ton of money.

They are already starting the transition of Joba from reliever to starter, as was the plan. IMO, I see this making their overall pitching weaker. There isn't a better 8-9th inning duo in baseball than Joba and Rivera. Somehow, I don't think teams will sweat too much with the idea of facing Latroy Hawkins/Kyle Farnsworth and Rivera. The only fear of H and F is that they will throw at your head.

It isn't really the last year of Burnett contract but he can opt out of the deal this year. If he is as overvalued as you say, he won't be opting out.

I still think there is a trade market for Burnett but J.P. "likes his team" right now.

Yes I know but come on. It is like they are on an acid trip.

Wilkerson 32 homers in 2004 (can you say career year)... Different league, 4 freaking years ago, come on with the b.s.

AJ can (and barring catastrophic injury, probably will) opt out of his contract and leave two years and over $22 million on the table because some sucker will give him more years and more money - for a .500 pitcher who will tantalize you with his electric stuff and leave you asking why he isn't winning 20 games with a sub 3.00 ERA every year...
