Yes, thank you.

I used the word "turtle" tongue in cheek by the way, because compared to Bolt it kinda is
Based upon other comments you have made, I don’t think so. I stand by my comment even when you try and make up a lame excuse.

Thanks.

Phil, not so much.

I think that you did less typing than he.
Correction.

Heats are completed.

Canada qualifies with the second-best time 37.92 tied with China. Jamaica is best at 37.82. The USA didn't qualify.

Finals are on Friday Morning at 9:50am.

That might conflict the ending of the women's soccer game which starts at 8:00.

Considering the race only takes less than 40 sec I don't think anyone will miss very much of the Soccer final.

The chances are slim but crazier things have happened than the game deciding goal is scored within the few seconds that you switch stations.

Bronze for Canada in 4x100 relay, they were in fifth place when Degrasse took baton.

TSN, I caught the replay, did not see it live
An unreal morning{EST} of track and field finals and the CBC could not even cut for a few moments to show live coverage of the men's 4 x 100 relay final, men's 5K final and a bunch of other significant finals.

Pissed.

For what, a 3 hour game that the Canadians were outplayed in and only got to extra time because of a questionable reversal of a non penalty.

Effin joke, as if the whole country was watching the game as they were for game 7 of the '72 Canada/Russia hockey game.

Porca Troia!

After watching Marcello Jacobs explode on the rest of the field, I doubt there will be a showdown between him and de Grasse at Skydome. He certainly isn't a Big Chicken! Italy take the Gold in the 4X 100 m relay, Canada takes the Bronze.

He ran second which seemed questionable, he opened up such a wide gap that no one could catch up in the home stretch - de Grasse did his best.

Didn't know he's a policeman.

Jacobs slew at the first relay.

1) Jacobs did indeed run a great 2nd relay leg HOWEVER, his baton exchange with the 3rd Italian runner put Team Italia behind the Brits at the fourth and final baton exchange.

2) Thus the stage was set for the race to be decided after the final baton exchange by a brilliant chase, run and victory by FILIPPO TORTU, the 1st Italian man run under 10 seconds.

3) Not saying that Jacobs is not a decidedly faster runner than Tortu, however in this relay race Tortu had the greater impact and was clearly the decisive factor in Team Italia gold.

Look at the race by the relay legs and you will clearly see the decisive leg.

And what a bunch of schmucks those 2 CBC commentators were, completely oblivious to the race because they were singularly and blindly focuse on Andre De Grasse and Team Canada.

As a duel citizen, I did find it somewhat annoying, my allegiance is to Canada first. Haven't renewed my Italian passport since the mid 00's.

It was just that Filippo Tortu run the last leg, he's been a dedicated sprinter while Jacobs was going through police academy training. Jacobs is also competing in the Long Jump.
