I think we're at the point where anything other than a gold in the 200m is a disappointment, no?

No. Food for thought De Grasse now has 4 (4 for 4 so far) Olympic medals he could end up with 6 after these Olympics. He's 26 and will return for the next Olympics and could have a total of 9 medals. Penny Oleksiak has 7 total for the most decorated Canadian Olympic athlete.

Degrasse is washed, looks exhausted, tough to recover. Too many fresh runners to run against. He may not even make the final.

Aaron Brown looks fresh but it's easy when you don't run the 100M. Donovan Bailey says no need to worry about De Grasse.

Nobody is fresh in that heat. One guy had trouble just walking up the steps after the event.

We have another Canadian in the final tomorrow by the name of Aaron Brown. Never heard of him before

He's in the final. He set a PB at 19.72 and eased up at the end.
Bednarek eased up sooner than DeGrasse.

That said, Bednarek did look concerned by the way Andre closed the gap.

DeGrasse looked great, gold medal great, but so did Bednarek minus his last 20 meters.

The question is if a full throttle Bednarek can hold off Degrasse in the last 20 - 30 meters in the final.

Also, this Noah Lyles of USA will be in the medal mix even though he really screwed up his semi by basically shutting down in the last 20 meters and that teen aged American may surprise.

They key for the slowest starting Degrasse is to not be in such a deficit rounding the turn that he runs out of real estate before the finish line.

Brown's full, maximum potential may equal a bronze at best if two of the Americans falter.

Most likely 4th or fifth.

No. He emptied his bowels. He just needed to find a better place to do it.
Are you saying he's Sir Robin running away from the Three Headed Knight before his bowels unplugged?

I have a feeling Aaron Brown will win gold. He's running strong, he has no pressure on him.

De Grasee ran 19.73 in the semis, looked very washed up to me. De Grasse gets lane 6 in the finals.

I'm shocked that poopster hasn't given us his pre-race analysis before the finals. Inquiring minds want to know what's gonna happen.
