What a difference having markers makes, Andre could have taken gold in the 100 m if he had one. He had Americans on either side of him in the 200 m and they pushed him hard.

Absolutely stupid comment. Look st the history of sports and how some records have not been broken and never will. That should not diminish what someone has done against the “current” best the world. “Turtle time”. Absolutely stupid comment.
Oh and by the way, Bolt’s winning time in Rio was 19.78 and De Grasse 20.02. Take Bolt’s winning time in 2016 and he wouldn't even get bronze in Tokyo (yes I know he probably let up in Rio). De Grasse improved his time by .40 which is quite the accomplishment

I don't think he was diminishing anything, just pointing out how unbelievable the record is given the race he just ran.
I was stunned when they posted the record after the race.
De Grasse is a lock for the Lou Marsh Trophy (Canadian Male Athlete Of The Year).
