Ping Pong ball rifles...

Wooden paddles with elastic band attached rubber balls

Silly Putty

The Kellogg's (I think) little plastic grey submarines that you would put baking soda in and watch them sink and then float in your bathtub.

Pepsodent toothpaste, Ex-Lax laxative that looked like a chocolate bar, Resdan dandruff shampoo that Billy Van used to do the commercials for.

As a kid, I would go into the LCBO and ask the clerk if I could have the plastic Star that was attached to the 5 Star whisky bottle.

Used to throw them around like Ninja stars!

also on another whiskey bottle ( was it Wisers?) there was a reusable sticker on the back that said-"A Proud Canadian"

We used to use the purple (velvet?) Crown Royal whiskey bags to hold our marbles back in the 50's...

At a SP near me
Do you also remember Shop-rite or Consumers Distributing?

I remember going with my parents to look through the catalog and write down the product code on their order form using their short pencils. Someone would then run to the back of the store and bring out the item.

When your wooden hockey stick's blade broke, the "Cooper Super Blade" (made out of flesh tone colour plastic) was used as a replacement, for street hockey.

I still have a tube of "Ipana'' toothpaste, with the first wide cap that stood the tube vertically. My childhood was besieged by Bucky Beaver, who was the shill for the product. He was everywhere during the Saturday and Sunday morning cartoons. He even interrupted "Rin Tin Tin" and "Roy Rogers".
