There is too much paranoia on the boards these days !Sniffing http traffic on a network is literally child's play and can be done by anyone with a modicum of savvy and patience. Corporate busy bodies, spouses, anyone. To claim that no harm would be done to a member by having their terb posting history made public is just laughable. Because terb didn't store credit cards. No harm done?
Really?!
Please restore https.
If you get a blank page press the back button and resend message. Is anyone else also having trouble sending PM's?
Every time I try to send a Pm I get the same Cloudfare message that I get when I first log on then my screen goes blank. When I log in again and check my "Notifications" and go to sent items, I noticed that my message wasn't sent.
It doesn't matter who you vote for, once it's law, chances are, it won't be repealed. The government wants to be big brother and seems to have a desire to be.There is too much paranoia on the boards these days !
Terb posting history made public by who? Terb posts are already public -anyone can read what you have posted here.
Your ISP is under no obligation to reveal who you're to anyone unless they are a police officer with a warrant.
Maybe Harper is trying to change that to make things easier for the cops, which is one more reason not to vote for him.
Even if a hacker were to post your ip publicly that info would not be of much use to anyone.
The Cloudfare sucks and I'm getting delays, loosing postings while Cloudfare hangs up. Why you are treating comments from the members with disdain and a take it or leave it attitude is beyond my comprehension. Members bring in the advertising revenue and while there are many now - membership can be fleeting if there are better experiences available and momentum builds in that direction. The Cloudfare firewall is here to stay so get used to it or find another website that is more to your liking !!
I don't know what business you're in. Every website is different. From an admin standpoint and based on our data we already see the benefits of using Cloudfare that's why we have no intention of removing the software. Every time time we have updated the software it's taken a while for people to get used to the changes. Most of our users are already used to Cloudfare. We're just an online community... we're not a big corporation trying to capture a big market share and maximize revenue. If some people don't like the changes and want to try other sites, more power to them - it doesn't matter to us.I am both on the Internet a lot in my business and I manage content on our own product site. First - this is the only site I have come across that has these delays which slow down visitors access. I would never permit Cloudfare service on our website as it clearly delays access and restricts user access to the site. Listen to the members - drop this terrible service.
Mod, i've used Akamai before to protect sites, not Cloudflare. The way I've used Akamai didn't impact user experience at all other than making access faster, and I'm assuming Cloudflare can work as seamlessly. I would suggest looking at the options in Cloudflare's control panel, and using a small group of impacted people here to test out variations of settings. You might be able to get Cloudflare to unpinch it's ass cheeks a bit, still get the security you need, and make the readers happier.I don't know what business you're in. Every website is different. Or just just "copy" your post before hitting submit. If it gets wiped out, then "paste" it.It is a pain when typing a long post, then you lose everything when you hit submit. Under those circumstances I am now typing longer posts in MS Word just in case. No big deal really
But still not for a lot of us. Captcha EVERY logon? Read a lengthy thread and have to go through it again? Really???? I agree you need a secure site, but what's going on is ridiculous.Y...it works just fine for me.
