Contemporary R&B/soul is basically on a lifeline and it would be dead without artists like Kem. One of the best from 2022.

This sounds like it could be a TV show theme song.

I completely forgot about this remix of one of my absolute favorite Public Enemy songs. The JMJ Telephone Tap Groove from the Greatest Misses album. JMJ of course is Jam Master Jay 1/3 of the rap group Run DMC. He rarely did remixes but he hit this one out of the park

Didn't Roberta Flack record this song? Saw her at Ontario Place years ago.
Close but Flack's song was called 'Killing Me Softly', a stone cold classic. The Fugees did a remake of Roberta's song years later.

Came across this tune last night for the very first time. Definitely a vibe. Millie Scott's 'Ev'ry Little Bit'

Not a fan of rap, but when I first heard this...perfection....

Flea (later of the RHCP) played the base....

That's like an extended remix version of Bust a Move. Classic joint from the late 80's. A great time for rap/hip hop because a lot of what was coming out at that time was party oriented.
