I don't think this one charted but it should have. Earlier Lou Rawls from the 60's.
Didn't Roberta Flack record this song? Saw her at Ontario Place years ago.1997's Uptown Saturday Night was the debut album for Camp Lo.
Top tracks: 'Luchini (This is It)', 'Coolie High', 'Killin' Em Softly'
Producer: Ski Beatz
Close but Flack's song was called 'Killing Me Softly', a stone cold classic. The Fugees did a remake of Roberta's song years later.Didn't Roberta Flack record this song? Saw her at Ontario Place years ago.
Never heard Maxine before. Indeed very soulful.
a gold nugget....as soulful as it gets...by a singer that flew under the radar,,,but one of my personal favs....i have 2 singles in my collection..this and Oh No Not My Baby, but i have some CD compilations featuring some of her stuff
That's like an extended remix version of Bust a Move. Classic joint from the late 80's. A great time for rap/hip hop because a lot of what was coming out at that time was party oriented. Not a fan of rap, but when I first heard this...perfection....
Flea (later of the RHCP) played the base....
