6 People shot, Possibly 2 dead

Every other week or so a thread evolves into racism somehow.
Then members of all races do their bitching and complaining and point out how the other guys race is somehow to blame for all their problems.

They will feel better for a week or 2 and then the whole cycle starts again.

She was fighting for her life and by some grace of god she lived.... but while she waqs fighting for her life.... where was the outcry like we have in this instance?

are you trying to say that there was only small media coverage on that shooting? That story dominated the news for weeks on TV, radio and newspapers! There was EVERY bit as much of an outcry by the general public about how senseless this shooting was. Do you not remember how the TTC was going to install cameras etc. That story was every bit as big as the shooting of the lady in the sandwich shop or this one about the boxing day shooting. Why are these stories so huge? Simple, all 3 are cases of an average citizen minding thier own business and going about thier life and getting shot by piece of shit who is shooting indiscriminately into a group of people who have done nothing wrong. All you guys making these claims of racism can't say that everyone wasn't as saddened by the shooting of that young black girl any more that this shooting of this young white girl. In both cases it was an innocent suffering at the hands of scum who obviously have no regard for anyone but themselves. I don't know about racist but you may think I'm neanderthal as what I think should happen is to let the dead girls father execute everyone of these guys who was shooting in the street regardless of whether or not it was his bullet that killed that poor girl. assuming that the father would want to execute anyone, I wonder if given the chance how many people could actually carry it out - not just the fact of looking into another human's eyes and ending their life in such a grotesque manner, but the fact he'd likely be taking away someone else's child, and on a rational level, it wouldn't change the fact he will still have lost his daughter, regardless.

Reason being....anytime I've ever gotten into a discussion like this, things get blown out of proportion and distored in order to suit one's point of view. People get "funny" when it comes to touch subjects like this.

Some beleive that racism is as strong as ever and simply comes in a "new and improved" packaging. Meanwhile, others would swear that racism is about as real as country bumpkin's story of alien abduction.... one side likes to "cry wolf" and the other side is in "denial"... we have our beleifs and we see what we wanna see....Everybody talks and nobody cares to listen and I guess thats probably what our bigest problem is so why dont we just stop talking about this because its going nowhere
