In the many, many instances of this kind that we can all recall now in the recent history of Toronto, the response from the Black community is the same, now standard vociferous condemnation and accusations of 'racism'. I would ask you to please consider for a moment the apparent lack of that same outrage from the Black community in relation to this most recent example of horrific and senseless violence. What seems to predominate from the Black community is all the excuses that can be made to 'explain' the behaviour of the young Black 'men' who, yet again, are responsible for, yet again, another horrific act of senseless and random violence in our city. I think this whole gun problem is caused by people who live in Kingston. Because they are different than us here in the GTA. If we could eliminate Kingston then the whole gun problem would just disappear along with all other crimes.
