Nooo it was the US that wanted this and dragged NATO poodles with them. The Euros were dumb and too weak to oppose Bidens war. And EVERYTHING the Biden admin predicted about the war was WRONG. Cross-reference your answer with his cuts to USAID, which will lead to millions of unnecessary deaths.

It will take them years to rearm to fight Russia. And if they win they get nuked.
RUssia has 2m troops, therefore to attack Russia you need 6m. You would need to recruit, train and arm these guys. That is a MASSIVE undertaking. Then you will need to stockpile mountains of ammo in places RUssia cannot attack it. As soon as the war starts, Russia will attack all NATO air bases with Oreshnik. They will start sinking Allied shipping destroy all European oil and gas production and pipelines. Russia has thousands of S400 SAMs whereas NATO has a handful of AD systems. Russia will also take out all internet and sat system. In the first 3 weeks about 100T of damage will be caused...without nukes.

75% of German army deaths were caused by the USSR. So imagine how many more of the other Allies would have had to die if the USSR did not inflict those losses on the Germans. Or even worse, if there was no eastern front. The USSR not fighting, getting defeated or not being so deadly on the battlefield would mean half the people in this forum might not exist. Think about that for a second. Maybe we would be typing in German!! But OTOH that would be FKKs in Toronto lol.

What is not hypothetical is that the USSR played the largest role in defeating Germany. They also played a big role in liberating many colonized countries in case you are wondering why there is this DNA level hatred for them in the West.
