Maybe so, but Trump has more respect for Modi and Kim Jong IL. IMHO, if Zelensky was smart he would have worn a suit when meeting Trump. Trump already was pre-meeting, pissed off at Zelensky for costing the US $350 Billion, under Biden's watch. All I'm saying is the fact that Zelensky dressed like a "homeless" person, didn't help Zelensky's cause. Especially in front of the whole world, as this meeting was in public, and thanks to social media, basically in front of "the whole world."

The costume Zelensky wore had nothing to do with the result of the meeting. Trump goodnaturely needled Zelensky about the costume, but that is just the American way.
The real reason was that Zelensky broke the agreement and came with new demands. Then Trump created a blowup for the gallery.
Two points. They all think Russia sucks. Most, from personal experience.He also sees it as NATO becoming too close to his borders.
Look at all the former USSR countries who are now part of NATO
(Lithuania, Poland, Latvia, Estonia and now almost Belarus and Ukraine)
None of them have plans to invade Russia.
Sweden and Finland joined because of this invasion of Ukraine. Nobody trusts Russia.
They used to, but no longer, trust the USA.
