So you would favour Chrystia leading the Liberal party? Is this correct?
No, I would have favoured Melanie Joly. As she is not running, definitely Mark Carney is the next best choice for me!!
Chrystia Freeland is not the best communicator, although she is a real tough negotiator that put Trump in his place at the last NAFTA negotiations!!

Melanie Joly wouldn't stand a chance and Katie Telford knew it.

Oh man...She's too tied to Justin. She'd have to throw him completely under the bus to have a chance. Remember when they asked Kamala if she would do anything different than Biden and she said she couldn't think of anything. Imagine whats going to happen when they ask Freeland that same question. What's she going to say? Carney can't go in on her because he'll look sexist. Just read that he is the godparent to one of her kids.
It's going to be very interesting to watch them. Freeland has baggage but was polling at 28% if she was the candidate. That is enough to save the party to the 40 seat range and set up for later. She also already threw Trudeau under the bus with the resignation and the letter. She will happily vilify him.

I had initially thought that the majors would stay out. But the argument that getting in when they are down and building them back up is a better road to the PM is a viable argument.

There is also the possibility that a deal was cut between the two to run out the rest of the candidates with a high price. Then let the votes fall as the may. Loser gets the Deputy/Finance ministry in the future. And they run a unity campaign, hoping to either squeak it out or set up for the next one.

Just $50,000 more than the Conservatives. What's your point, as they have a much tighter timeline and need to streamline the candidates!!
Why not have a more open primary?

Of course, unless you think it's best only rich people should be able to run?

Except that there is no Trump to compete against in this election!!
Canadians will be tuned out of the Rightie Spectrum when Tariffs are imposed against Canada and there is a tit for tat retaliation, causing as Dougie Boy stated that around half a million jobs lost, and inflation will once again be a Global Threat!!
Sure there is!

It'll be Carney vs little trump

Agreed, Joly was my first choice as well. I'm sure her announcing she wasn't running was based on some inside moves.
Carney will be good.

Ohhhhh. I see. You'll interact on one thread but not another. Makes sense. If you're a liberal. 🤣 I guess you didn't like my liberal approach of ignoring your question and answering one you didn't ask. If it's good enough for Justin it's good enough for me.🤷‍♂️🤣
Juvenile. Nothing but insults and the same emoji over and over and over again.

How the fuck do you 'inherit' the position of Prime Minister. Didn't they just try that south of the border? How did that work out 100 million dollars later?
So none of the American public was interested in her being president? Got it. And I think they did too because guess what? Donnie boy won. Again!
Stay on topic. You claimed that somebody inherited or tried to inherit. Biden's presidency. That never happened. Who do you think tried to inherit it.

Now you're talking about an election. Is that the same as inheriting something?
