This front office talks so many double edged sword, two face mumbo-jumbo, not really saying anything while moving their lips crap. I am so sick of it. I’m not even motivated to watch these guys right now because this front office is so unmotivating and I feel like we are trapped having to accept them.I wouldn't enjoy another losing season, but if that's what it takes (along with decreased attendance) to get rid of these bozos, I'll settle for just listening to Dan and Buck.
The worst thing would be if they end up with an 84 or 85 win season and claim that they're on the verge of breaking through. These guys are shysters. Get them the hell out of here. This front office talks so many double edged sword, two face mumbo-jumbo, not really saying anything while moving their lips crap. I am so sick of it. I’m not even motivated to watch these guys right now because this front office is so unmotivating and I feel like we are trapped having to accept them.
These people really do not remember the opening days of the 2000s with the attendance being 30,000 type of thing. And then the next day with an attendance of 11,000. This is a reality. This is what happens in this town. It’s very possible if we don’t present a winning product.

So Shatkins can either cheap out and lose fans and revenue or keep their jobs. Who would hire them after this?Blue Jays Believed To Have Gotten Under Luxury Tax Threshold
The 2024 Luxury tax threshold is $237 Million. It's possible that the Blue Jays may have been marginally over the 2024 cap, which won't cost them much THIS year, but it will be REALLY expensive if they exceed the 2025 $241 Million threshold, because that would be three years in a row, and the financial penalty alone would be 50% of any spending above the line, and they would also lose draft picks and International Pool signing money - see the link in post #9 for details about Competitive Balance payors.
How much would that cost them?It wouldn't surprise me if the Blue Jays were about $1 Million over the luxury tax threshold for 2024 because somebody forgot to add the $2 Million for buying out Paul DeJong and his .136 OPS, from August, 2023.
It's even worse from the Leafs insiders. 2025 free agent targets are already being rumored to be coming to Toronto.I'm getting tired of seeing all the stupid predictions and rumors, speculations and names being thrown around from Google Insiders and Jays Nation etc. They're all just talking out of their collective ass and are BS. Maybe 1 prediction out of 100 comes true.
Like Leafs digest and every other podcast about Toronto sports teams. All I know is don’t pay attention to Jay‘s Digest. Those guys are Clickbait Clowns going on re Bob Knightingale and his recent tweets. Like it’s earth shattering news that’s about to change the face of MLB….. they always have some big recent report to announce and it’s literally nothing. Blue Jays Today is ok… they are fun and enthusiastic… But the two top Blue Jay podcasts in my honest opinion- 1) Blair & Barker and 2) The Walkoff Podcast. So interesting to listen to them and so informative.

Today they're talking about Luis Robert, Max Fried and Tyler O'Neil all coming to the Jays. Start the parade. It's even worse from the Leafs insiders. 2025 free agent targets are already being rumored to be coming to Toronto.
Click the link in post #9. The luxury tax payable would be minimal for 2024, but there would be other penalties, especially if the Jays are over the limit in 2025.How much would that cost them?
