Why do liberals revel in destruction?

Focus on building things, improving things, bettering yourself and others, and making the world more peaceful.
In fairness, I think you're referring to progressives. They need to be the silent partner in the Democratic party as they were until the last decade.

First, I should say, I am not in favour of most tariffs. But nearly every country, even they ones who espouse free trade (like the US) impose them. And they are targeted. Canada, for example, ferociously protects its dairy industry. That's why it is so expensive for milk and butter compared to the US...and, we don't allow it (for the most part) to be imported. Is this a good policy? I'm sure our dairy farmers approve.

But, let's remember, Trump said he'd put tariffs on every import, which would pass on the cost of things to the consumer. That is a major problem because it is basically a new consumption tax that will make everything more expensive. Economists say it will hurt the US economy as well as Canada's. And, why wouldn't China or other countries impose retaliatory tariffs on US made goods? Now, there is a very good chance that he will not do anything. Remember all the promises he made in 2016 that never came to fruition. He might have "concepts" of plans, but lacks the ability to get them through congress.
'' but lacks lacked the ability to get them through congress.''

the republicans have the oval office, house and senate
you are not keeping up to speed with events

understandable as you likely put your underwear on backwards, combed your teeth and scrubbed your hair with your toothbrush this morning

your discombobulation must be painful knowing your loonie left fantasy has been crushed in the USA and will soon be obliterated in Canada
that's the cost of blindly following a failed ideology

Youth, minorities and Muslims all had issues voting for someone actively aiding genocide.
She knew it and made her choice, even while Netanyahu worked against her campaign.
That was idiotic politically, and she will now be remembered as Holocaust Harris.

That isn't why she lost. She lost because Americans reject progressivism. Plus she's incompetent and not likeable.

“The Golden Age of America has begun!” My grandchildren will now have a future. No more wokism. No more men in ladies bathrooms. No more curtailing free speech. Religion can be celebrated. Wars can be ended. The border can be closed. Our military can be revamped into a strong fighting machine. The unborn can have a fighting chance to survive. Good bye Joey and KH. Your reign to take down America is over.

Stock markets are responding nicely to the election victory. Nasdaq up 2.2% the Dow up 3.1% so far. My RRSP account thanks US voters for doing the right thing.

You understand that the candidate who most strongly supports Israel is the guy who is going to be POTUS right?

Supporting Hamas thankfully is not an election winner in the USA.

As horrifying as it may be, supporting Hamas might be a winning strategy for the Trudeau liberals
By calling all Palestinians 'Hamas' you just identify yourself as an Islamaphobe declaring all Palestinians are 'terrorists' so deserve to die.
Backing Israeli genocide killed Harris' election, even trump says he told Netanyahu he has to end the genocide before he takes office.
Hopefully the liberals here learn that lesson.

Soon we get back to the daily trump scandal, the continual argument about how senile he's become and the daily failures of a 78 year old rapist and convicted felon.

Yes, the billionaires are very happy today.
Don't know why you are cheering them making more money, though.

The U.S. (and probably Canada) has a strong inclination for a small recession early next year. Looking at price to earnings ratios, the stock market is overvalued. I also fear China's economy will drag down Europe which has global implications.

This all of course has nothing to specifically do with Trump. However, the business climate will be better for many companies and industries. A recovery should have strong footing in North America.

The DNC threw Kamala under the bus when they put her on tv to defend Biden’s “slow start”. Brit Hume’s question in the fox interview about when she knew he had problems was a kill shot to her credibility.
Brett Baier's question in the Fox interview.
