What are some hobbies that women have that you find unattractive?

As for the OP question.

Shopping and fashion, in particular those who have a thing for expensive brand names. You want to live your life with 14th century garb that you sew yourself, hey, that's cute. If you have 20 purses or shoes that are often ugly as sin and you paid too much for because of the brand, you are a fool. Ditto for dudes who are into watches, but no homo so meh.

Tattoos, it's never an improvement, it's like putting a bumper sticker on a Lambo, Ferrari or a Rolls Royce, or throwing paint on a nice painting.

I'll throw in shooting men in Reno just to watch them die.

A woman that is overly politically engaged is a turn off...even if we see issues from the same perspective. I go to your FB page to try to pick up on your vibe, (or maybe hoping to see a bikini pic), I don't need to see a meme about abortion or immigration,
Wait wait wait…..

So you and a woman can agree on a political policy or perspective, but she can’t vocalize it because that is a turn off??????

The hypocrisy of it all. 😂

Um, so a hobby isn't something I think that would turn me off. So long as it isn't an obsessive thing, taking up too much much time and money that it affects her life or the relationship, then I am happy to see someone with a small p passion.

I'm much more suspect of someone who doesn't have one or a few. It tells me they are either bereft of passion, too dumb to be able to have one, too lazy to have one, or absolutely the worst, will fixate on my hobbies, either to constantly want to join in, or attempt to replace my hobby with themselves.

Everyone needs a separate outlet, either to blow off steam, have a creative moment, and just have something for them. I never begrudge my SO her stuff, nor she mine.

Absolutely. Women tend to go ALL IN on the latest social causes and it’s exhausting to be around. From Trump, to Covid, to BLM, to Ukraine, to Palestine, to whatever the next thing is gonna be.

I’ll never forget the night of the 2016 election I was in subway getting a sandwich, just me and the young black dude working there, when a young white woman came in basically in hysterics. Pacing back and forth, short of breath, she was acting like she was having some kind of panic attack. She basically asked us why were weren’t freaking out and we both just shrugged.

The kind of energy many young women bring to social and political discussions is genuinely insane and I believe a lot of it is mental illness exacerbated through social media feedback loops.

This is a “both sides” thing as well. There is also a huge amount of proud anti-vax women on hinge. And anecdotally, the only people I have ever met in person who were staunchly anti-abortion have all been women.

Hate to break it to you but plenty of unhinged proud anti-vax men too.

Also plenty of men who get rude, belligerent, vile and violent when it comes to political issues. Men insisting on walking around with AR-15s and shit to show their “manhood”

Men and women show their emotions differently but both can be insane. Sorry but this is not a gender specific issue.

Hunting maybe?
I agree but will add this caveat: Call me classist, but some uber-wealthy heiress dressed in an expensive tweed suit and hunting grouse on an 15th century English or French manor can be sexy, but some woman hunting wild boar in the Ozarks dressed in full camo and drinking Budweiser straight out of the can is cringey as fuq.

I would have thought the more down-home girl would have got the win in this. Not the bougie one.

Can we please go back to unattractive hobbies? I think there’s another thread for general turn offs
