Wannabe going nowhere” influencers” that think they’re going to make it big online. It’s like the modern day equivalent of gold rush fever.

Makeup as a hobby.

I think there's a fine (eye)line(er) between doing makeup just like every other girl vs being obsessed with it.

This one girls apt was so messy with all that stuff it's like a 40yr old guy who is obsessed with Pokemon

hobby

noun

plural hobbies
: a pursuit outside one's regular occupation engaged in especially for relaxation
Writing is just a hobby of his.

Her hobbies include gardening and bird-watching.
This is just a bitchfest about what men don’t like about women.

I saw that question online and thought it was interesting.
That's an interesting question, but honestly, I think hobbies are so personal, and what might not appeal to one person could be fascinating to someone else. It's all about finding a connection with someone who shares or at least appreciates your interests. At the end of the day, I think it's more about how passionate someone is about their hobbies than the hobby itself. That passion can be really attractive, regardless of the activity.

Whoa nelly, the SPs wading through all the toxicity in here for nuggets of honest, reasonable opinions must be fucking masochists. Maybe it's a turn-on, I won't judge :p

In my opinion, people who spend a lot of time at the club or rave scene are not attractive to me as a long-term partner. As a one-time hookup, sure maybe. I've pretty well aged out of even being around girls that club all the time anymore, but even in Uni I fucking hated the club scene. I could never envision myself seriously dating someone who loves going out once or twice a week. Huge $$$ sink, crazy long nights, filthy loud and cramped locations, having to babysit blackout drunk/stoned friends, and all the other chaos that can come with frequent clubbing. It's exhausting even to think about.

Another turnoff: homeopathy/alternative medicine-- but specifically to the exclusion of modern medicine. A passing interest in traditional cultural remedies is one thing, but at some point the stereotypical healing crystal energy alignment bullshit ends up falling down a slippery slope into straight up anti-vaxxing and anti-science behaviour. It's so wild and off-putting to see Q-anon conspiracy nuts sharing the same healthcare opinions as GOOP ladies.

That is not a hobby omg…do you even know what “hobby” means?
To be clear, I personally don't find many hobbies unattractive, but when hobby crosses the line to lifestyle it's a different story, as many in this thread have leaned into. Hobbies can be awesome when shared and a pain in the ass when they conflict with your own, especially when one that holds no interest for you cuts into your own hobby time or, maybe, together time. But, it they keep honey busy and occupied, that's usually a good thing, and it can be very tasty if it is baking. And that absolutely cuts both ways.

Guys have hobbies - coin and stamp collecting, model railroads, firing antique muskets at the range, etc.

Women get their nails done and gossip with their friends for hours on the phone.
