I’m half serious.

I don’t think rates need to be lowered but I do think the inflation is beating all of our a**** and I wish it didnt but alas. If it wasn’t the case then you’d probably see more of those back in the days rates.

We are basically small businesses owners and can’t really do anything than follow the inflation. Even McDonald’s has raised their prices, the McValue menu doesn’t mean a thing anymore.

In all seriousness, if a provider that’s always been out of your budget lowered her rates or gave discounts, would you think it’s weird? Would you think it’s a trap? Would you go see her?

I would assume it had to do with figuring out the market.

No, I've booked ladies who reduced their rates because they reduced their rates. I have my limit on the hourly and I do not cross it so if it falls within the bullseye and the girl has piqued my interest I will attempt to book her.

I will not do LeoList, it's either agency or through Twitter.

That’s exactly what would happen. Hate to say it but guys here are cheap and really hate that they have to pay anything at all. From what I gather daily is they resent women making good money doing what they feel should be given for free. There are some good ones but for the most part it’s a sad state of affairs. You will get a lot of pushback for going back up. But then again you may feel that price range is working and you keep the rates.

Costs are up all over but price sensitivity is also up. 100% girls are less busy than before, but also every girl starts as VIP.

That said this is as close to a pure market dynamic as possible and it’ll settle out.

Rates will never go down - nothing goes down - but the slack will be picked up.

About rates never going down, it is true though. And what I learned from having a business (many) is that it's never ONLY because of the rates/price of something if clients don't buy from you. Even when lowering your rates, those same clients that are hesitating, might continue to be ambivalent and end up never seeing you/buy from your business. There are many things to do, improve, and change, before lowering your rates.

I would think that is very possible.

But there is also the whole "Do I think it is worth it" risk for people.

Would I try a provider I haven't tried yet at her current rate? Maybe not.
On a discount maybe I do and then that convinces me I am cool with the higher rate as well.

There is absolutely a difference between what I am willing to pay for if I know what I am getting and what I am willing to pay to try something new.

If you give your best, which I know you do, it will just bring your reg to check in more often and it will bring new clientele that might chose to enjoy the promo over something regular price they already have experienced. That's what it does for me when I put my 3hr promo. And I rather see my reg twice a month at 600×2 than once at 800...

My take is don't raise your rates with your regulars. Make them feel valued for their loyalty to you. If you want to offer a special discount to entice clients, do so with a small window such as Summerlicious in Toronto. After that, go back to your regular rates. I would love to eat at the Keg more frequently, but it's too cost prohibited for me. Just like I don't eat at Habour 60, unless it's on someone else's dime! :)

I think that rates should be lowered so that we can see you girls and still feed our families.
You mentioned having "no choice other than to follow the inflation". Maybe, as you alluded to, lowering the rates would make you stand out from the crowd and make you unique. Buck the trend. If you have already established a reputation as a good and honourable provider, you shouldn't have to worry about the doubters.

It's a double-edged sword. Some have budget limits that prevents them from seeing you at your regular price but with your discounted price they're able to see you. But once that ends you MIGHT get a few (very few IMO) regulars because once your rate goes back to normal you're again outside of their budget until you do it again but that's if you do that again.

I haven’t really updated my rates in a long time but when I used to, I would keep it as it was for regular clients.

However, not everyone has the same definition of regular.

Regular client: Sees me on a regular basis. Once every week, every two weeks or once a month.

Repeat client: Sees me twice a year maybe three times.

I think it would be a one time summer deal but in my case I’m thinking more of an Autumn deal because budgets normally get tighter later in the year. Changing your rates is additional work if you advertise on multiple platforms, you also need to keep tab of your rates to give accurate information when someone contacts you to book.

So I'm not an escort so I don't know if this business theory applies, but as a former big box retail manager, one of the prime principles for making money in the long hau wasl this.


I would tell my staff to pretend that every customer that walked into our store basically had a sign on them that said, "I'm worth $10,000 of business over the next 10 years". Meaning if we get our customers to keep coming back, and spending $1000 a year, that would be $10,000 for every customer over the next decade which translated into big numbers.

I think finding the sweet spot of being affordable for a broad client base, and keeping them coming back because of a great experience would be my strategy for an over all long term financial gain. Not saying the rates need to be super cheap, but again finding the sweet spot that works for you is the key.

The best example I can give, is myself. I'm pretty much priced out the market now but going back a few years, my budget was $200 an hour and even that was tight but that was my budget. I'm only looking for one SP as like to just stick with one and be a regular. I just couldn't afford or risk trying one SP out at a rate of $300-$350 an hour. Way past my budget and certainly past my budget in hopes of being a regular. Even $250 was to high for me but I digress. Now...lets say there was an SP that had a rate of $200 that was within my budget, so I give her a shot and have a great experience. Now I'm going to book you between 12-16 times a year. (once or twice a month) Your going to make between $2,400-$3,200 a year from me for spending 12-16 hours the entire year with me. For not even spending one full day with me, you'll make up to $3,200. Not bad if you ask me. I lasted 17 years with my last provider and it was her that ended it, otherwise I would still be seeing her.

Again, I don't know what math works for you and what's worth your time, how in demand you are, etc....but I often feel many SP's are short sighted when it comes the best way to earn money in the long run. Many are all about the quick buck. I also always felt that if an SP, had enough regulars that she was super comfortable with, it might not be as lucrative but maybe they would be more happy because every client they saw, they enjoyed their company as well and knew what to expect as opposed to constantly having to worry about new clients they might not vibe with. Like my SP I previously mentioned, the last 7 years I saw her, she was basically out of the business. She kept her 10 regular clients that she liked and vibed with, and that was it. Still making great money off us 10 regulars. She would even make comments like "sometimes this isn't even like work" because she felt like she was hanging with a friend and getting paid for it.

Anyway, just some food for thought.

I think the tricky part is, after the promo telling them they now need to pay more to see you. Like I don't know if it would work for everyone, but I can tell you that me wanting to be a regular, knowing the price will be beyond my budget in a few months, I wouldn't even bother booking knowing it's I can't afford to repeat after the promo. Maybe I'm the minority, but maybe I'm not.

This is how the savvy SP’s stay in business long term. Market theory seems to be ignored by the simple SP’s. That’s why they never make it big over the year or years - they are too short sighted. Take Angelina DD or Angel at DD, for example. IMO they could easily up their rates from $250/hr. Instead they keep their rates firm at $250/hr. They both provide solid reliable service. Regulars stay being regulars and new clients are always incentivized to give them a try. Thus, they have steady business year after year. The SP’s at higher rates may make more money in the short term but almost never in the long term, by comparison.
